Hey Fed,
My uncle told me fifty years ago when I was a little kid about green bikes were unlucky!
Kawasaki dirt bikes have got away with it for years, but it would be nice to find out for sure!
Cheers Phil.

Half of my cars have been black so I'll go with that.

I like blue but I have never owned a blue car before.

Interestingly enough, so as i said prior my dad got his first car resprayed brg in the 70s, his dream car was to one day own a jag. In 2002 he bought a then brand new jag x type, his forever car. But he got it in a similar shade darker red. There were 2 red options. Carnival was the tomato red, he got the darker one. Didnt really suite the feux retro styling of the car at all. The only good thing about that car was the one thing that still worked properly when he passed. And that was the wood trim that was made from actual trees. The trims only job was to look nice. And no, neither my brother or i said yes to a free broken ford mondeo with awd.

According to this E series colour thread my old EL was regency red. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=33159

It was nice, but I got over it and not particularly attracted to reds any more. If I wanted a red car I could probably buy a $1000 bmw E36 in red which is way cheaper than a paint job

E: cobalt blue looks Ok though, as well as the greens. White don't suit an e series I think - no contrast as you need a lot of black trims and/or chrome.

Black by far the best colour.

I'm surprised even questionable but that's great

If I want my $$ car to look like a fleet hack or taxi then yes, white.

Black for a normal car makes it look like an ex lease from a funeral home. Black needs sportiness or gold/chrome otherwise it looks like you're mourning someone.

Plus I can't be bothered taking care of the inevitable swirl marks and fastidiously polishing every weekend, so black is not for me. I'll leave it for the photo shoots or for those that have a detailer on permanent staff as part of the 'help'.

Black interiors in white cars look mint in my opinion. My mum had a white benz ml with a black interior. Looked less then bad. It was cloth but. I have black leather in a silver car. Yes in summer it sucks, but im not a fan of tinted windows but the contrast is what makes the look. My mums current benz is white with a white interior and it looks like a vanilla paddle pop.

White BMWs come with black interiors (and lots of external black trim to set it off). But that's boring and oh so 90s. The best thing about 88-92 BMWs is the white cars came with the option of ballin' red or blue interiors. just like the 70s! awesome. I went for blue and it is bitchin'. Looks black at night but a deep mid ocean blue under direct sunlight. In the shade it's something in between them, like navy blue.
E: They did a indigo inky colour as well

Black is King, but it has to have great lines, best paint, and even better panel work, otherwise it shows up every blemish under the sun more than other colours - from some specks of dust to your grandson's happy meal palm print.

Not my scene but here's a clip of that green I mentioned in a previous post:

And If a car looks sexy and ready to rumble in white, that usually an indicator that it has great lines. Just my opinion though.

Some dark colours as much as I like them are to much hard work to look after out in the country, bl**dy stinking hot in summer, paint chipping from dirt roads, dust, peeling clear coats, fading, locust and bugs splatter over the front in spring and Autumn.
Ok for a garage queens but totally impractical overall. My vehicles are white, cooler in summer, easy to keep clean especially when there is a small fleet to maintain.
I do like a bit of gold as a contrast.

I think my all time favourite car colour is Midnight Purple found on late 90s Nissan coupes.
Of cars I've owned the Flame Blue/Ultrasonic Blue on the Lexus ISF.

Ford Colours - Wimbledon White, Grabber Lime & Twister Orange.
