I showed the ticket to Geea (Craig) and we had a little chuckle, its the only time ive been dissapointed to recieve an 11sec timeslip - Dons car was on a mission on that pass, and it takes so long to get a go, its a waste not knowing how quick it was.

I was up on the hill watching...was a good nights viewing

A few runs of yours I noticed you had big wheelspin from the start, I guess that stronger clutch would take some getting used to...may have to have a few runs to get the feel of it

I've heard that a few Holden guys have made the comment that BA V8's seem to be a lot harder to get off the line than a similar LS1, probably due to the weight increase as well as having the Hp in them too. It's either fry or bog down

Exactly Matt.... on similar tyres they all seem to cane our 60' times...even on street tyres (true ones) a 1.90 isnt uncommon...it's bloody good for us though

Cause the Gen 3's have nothing down low, makes 'em easier to get off the line. Less weight also equals less momentum required to get them moving.

Good point, but give it time and it will all come together. Now we have the edit we have control of the software, now we need the hardware to get the most out of it. Once the development of manifolds, cams, head porting etc. is done then the times will come.

It's fair to say that the edit cars do benefit more from just more of the basic mods.I think the BOSS motor has suprised the Holden brigade in only 2 odd years it's been out some real positive results are on the board. :

There will be alot more for us to brag about once we get into the cams and the heads. Bottom line is the holden guys with the SS's and ect that had a DETUNED 260 KW engine had easy power to unlock. They have no got an engine that has 297.. and its being sold with its 297, they wont relish the same gains with pipes and a tune they have done in the past.

What a good night on Friday, a bit of a waste in that without timing boards you never know how fast cars have gone, there were quite a few pretty quick cars out there. Pretty carnage-free night too, not much more than the HZ on nitrous backfiring a 3 foot flame through the scoop & setting fire to the bonnet and a Subaru RS turbo wagon blowing its gearbox – which shut the left lane however.

Good to see some new pb’s were achieved by Hus & Alex, also the Mustangs put on a good show, too bad the 67 Shelby GT350 didn’t have a run but I doubt the original Goodyear crossply tyres would have done much good!!

See you at Heathcote
