Default heading to the drags for the first time and got some questions

hey all so wanting to head to WSID in the coming weeks and have a few questions

is there access to tyre gauge/pump?

Im coming from Canberra and want to swap wheels when i get there, are you able to hire somewhere to store wheels/tools?

And im sure I'll have more so any tips for a newbie would be great, I'll be running my manual xr6 turbo.

i want to head down soon as well, its been about 6 years since the last time i took a car to wsid

took my own tyre pressure gauge, there is the shell servo near by and you can pump up the tyres on the way home

you are allowed to bring in a second car/pitt crew with you and you can store your rims and tools in that car

head out to Rocket and buy a tyre gauge it's just around the corner from WSID we use one similar to this http://shop.rocketindustries.com.au/products/AU2343 does the trick and is cheap as. or go to Supercheap get a gauge there also, get something 0-60psi that way u can check fronts n back. you can pump the tyres at the Shell as someone said or buy a 12V pump also from SuperCheap that is all we use, you can buy some as cheap as $50.

to store the stuff you will need another car or something there is nowhere to lock them up.

Storage is not available , however if WSID was clever i think they could have a setup where you could HIRE a small storage unit for tyres tools and such .....

There are no facilities for Air or anything there , basically bring what ya run and race . If your changin tyres , you either run the risk of leaving the pile of stuff in the pits and hope its still there , or find someone trustworthy you can leave it with .

We haven't had anything taken.. NOT that we leave too much to take...
This is one reason why cars are trailered...
A small lock and chain around tyres, tool box ???

as said, race for real you just turn up. fill your forms out and take your helmet with you to scruitineering sheds (otherwise you'll have to go back and get it ) then drive your car around to be checked over.

you only need to pre enter if you're running in nsw championship drag racing series (Street Fighter is only class not requiring an ANDRA licence but helpful) or test and tune/Full Throttle Fridays

good luck mate and let us know how you go.
