Default 6 CD Stacker Problem

Hi,
I have been having a problem with 6 disc CD stacker out of 99 Laser KN GLXI it hasnt been reading CD's
I have recently bought another stacker off ebay which is from EF Falcon.
The connection plug is the same but the new unit is not reading discs, powers up ok.

P/N for Laser stacker 14781760
P/N for Falcon stacker 14781761

Has it got anything to do with Pin configuration of the cable? or is it security code related?
Thanks

if the power cables are correctly connected to the right wires

one constant the other acc

the constant power should hold the code in memory for the stacker
enter the code with acc on then turn off
if the code doesnt hold
then the wires are not correct or it is a faulty radio memory chip

nothing to do with the speakers yet

it appears the radio doesnt have a security code. I have called Ford and they have advised me that there may be compatibility issues with the stereo and stacker.
Have given them the P/N and serial number of the stacker and they are going to check for me

I'm having the same problem in my 2001 Laser. The CD stacker is P/N 14781760 and is connected to the car's original radio/cassette player. Out of my entire collection it only reads one CD - I keep getting an E9 message on the others. The part was manufactured in 2001 so I'm assuming that it is struggling with more modern CD manufacturing techniques. I'm at a loss on what to do as well, apart from just using my iPod in the car.
