There are no rattles, no diff clunk, no suspension clunks, no brake shudder.

Typhoon has 70K on the ODO on the third set of brake rotors.

Mondeo has 87K on the ODO, original brakes.

Only cars that have ever suffered from constant brake shudder is me EL, BA, Terry and BF all way under 100K on the ODO.....drives me insane.

Just put my order in on a Mondeo Titanium wagon to replace my Territory Titanium. That means that I only have 3 months to wait till I can be rid of the rear brake shudder above 60km\h that I have put up with for 40000ks. Thanks for the reassurance.

It looks ridiculous. Every time I see a Mustang drive by, and there's more of them around than FGX's, i think what a **** to pay that much money for a car that costs $30k in the States.

Prefer to pay 50 grand for the top of the line Mondeo wagon than 50 grand for a mid range Hyundai or kia suv. Perhaps you should go to a Ford dealership abs drive one, you may be surprised.

Mondeo are slightly heavier than the ecoboost Falcon by about 40 - 130 Kg depending on the model.

Just like the Falcon, Mondeo have evolved since its was first released as the MA series. It will never be a Falcon equivalent but it's still a great car to own and drive.

If you can avoid it, why would you condemn yourself to a 4WD all year round for the sake of towing the boat each Summer? Many people find themselves in that exact predicament.

For instance my current tow car is an LS3 SS, tows a couple of boats, doubles as an incredibly entertaining daily drive while being super easy to buy/insure/maintain. I can get away with a daily drive/tow car being a single purchase. Not for long. That's the kind of flexibility we're losing with the demise of Falcon/Commodore which cannot be replicated by a Mondeo or Insignia. Just a tough reality for some of us.

Twin cabs, SUVs and front wheel drive sedans are good for certain things, but the Falcon and Commodore do it all.

yep how many times have you seen people sitting on the bonnet of FWD vehicles to get traction up a greasy ramp

I don't see many Falcons towing horse floats these days though...

Point being if you had to tow a horse float you wouldn't go out and Buy a Falcon or a Mondeo for that matter

People used to need tractors to pull their boats in/out as their cars weren't up to it. old Fergys all parked up at the ramp

These days you can get an SUV or a 4WD than can tow carry all the family comfortably. not to mention easier to park and use less fuel than the fore mentioned EF.

Where's the Falcon replacement? ill give you a clue. Its bigger
