So at that stage 5300 GTs total, then you have to add the utes & F6 cars. Since BF I understand that F6's have sold at least in equal numbers to sGTs.
Hi Outback ute,
Very handy info on the BA and BF numbers, I was wondering would you know of anyone know that would know how many FG GTs were made. Thinkin of buyin one one day and just wondering are the FG GT-Ps any better than the GT and have the same motors.

Just trying do do my homework early. Love the Boss 315, but I'm also considering bringing a 4.6 litre alloy block from the states. Stroked to 5.2 they can get 800 horses. I was toying with the alloy motor idea for years and hopefully I can make it happen. I'll do a lot more research and keep all posted.

Cheers,
Tez

I have a letter from FPV stating that there were 519 BA2 Typhoons produced (not 513). Unless FPV's number included the P production vehicles?? Can of worms here! Wish ford Au released this stuff before closure.
And the FG Typhoon should be just FG F6.
Great work keep it up and post it up here! My biggest fear owning some limited edition cars is that once written off/damaged etc they can br re-born without too much difficulty, especially at the moment when many of the fpv parts are still available.

The number system on FPV vehicles has made it harder for people to enter the market. People look to justify outrageous sale prices because they're no longer being made. Its not supply and demand. Theres a #### tonne of cars out there for sale, and at the end of the day they're tarted up taxis with extras. Trying to buy a factory BFII F6 and people act like they're selling limited run euro specs.

Yeah its because in the media they hear of million dollar XY GTs and 300K toranas etc and think their pride and joy is worth the same. If they treat it with such pride its a good thing but theyll come back to reality at some point. Is it a good time to buy up and store some cars??/

Good to see this still running, and thanks for posting the info oldbugger. I am away from my computer at the moment so can't check myself.

Force 6 & 8 are FPV, I should have numbers for those. More than the Tickford T3 TL50 in any case!

The numbers that I have for the Force 6 and 8 are 194 units produced.

109 were made in 2006. 82 in 2007 and 3 in 2008. I have read in another thread that FPV confirmed 99 Force 6's were made which would indicate 95 Force 8's. However in the same thread someone indicated 132 V8's but I believe that number included 2008 GTE as well. As you can appreciate it would have been good if accurate records had of been kept.

All FG MK II FPVs run sequential. No MK II (other than limited editions) had a build number 1

This is the only series its applicable for though. All the others reset with the series (BA1, BA2, BF1, BF2, FG1, FG MY10)

https://carsafe.com.au/risk-rating#

FPV GT BA: Oct. 2019: 1378 Licensed.
FPV GT BF: Oct. 2019: 1437 Licensed.
FPV GT FG: Oct. 2019: 3070 Licensed.
FPV F6 FG: Oct. 2019: 1548 Licensed.

It looks like this database has added together all variants for example GTP, GTE, GTF seems to be part of the 'GT' numbers. Also for FG all years 08 to 14 are added together.

There are probably some cars stowed away without plates on them, and some states have <100, so they don't show in the numbers above.

There would be a number of cars that have been written off, and scrapped. For example the BF typhoons have less than 1000 now since it is no longer listed. (More than 400 cars lost compared with production numbers).

Cheers,

Something like that isnt going to tell you how many made though :p

The total of all FPVs made is in the low 20,000s (between 20,000 and 20,500)

I am lucky to own a BA F6 and a BF F6. As the years go on numbers fall. Both of mine are keepers. The BF has less that 20K
