Default [SYD] Plastic Welding Recommendation

Busted headlight lugs on AU ďpodĒ for the OSF lights. One broken right off, one cracked, have all bits. (Irritating to find this damage but now the always-droopy light makes sense.)

Need a referral to prompt and accurate repairer able to do it this week, suburban Sydney preferred but limits ideally no further than Wollongong/Mittagong/Lithgow/Raymond Tce.

Cheers for any suggestions.

Couple of days behind schedule due to daily driver failure, have elected to try "Autobody and Marine Plastic Welding" who are a semi-mobile service based in the French's Forest area. Will post my impression of quality, value once it's done.

I'm happy. I delivered the broken parts Thursday afternoon, they were ready Saturday and I was able to collect out of hours Sunday.

The repairs are visible if you know where to look, but as they are the bottom two lugs - not the uppers - it's not my concern. Filler colour is a good match. I was billed at what you could call "drop-in trade" pricing as opposed to high volume regular trade clients.
  • Would I recommend Autobody and Marine Plastic Welding to businesses and people with trade level understanding of repairs? Yes, absolutely, based on this experience. I would not refer any business like this to a "domestic" client who cannot assess, dismantle and prepare an item for immediate working-on, as it's really an inter-trade specialised service.
I realise 100% that the passage of time means business ebb and flow, but here's a current evaluation and hopefully it may help others.
