Yeah I'll vote for it...

After the little altercation someone had with my car while I was at work, I could really use a section like this.

Know I'm starting to see more posts in areas such as 'the pub' relating to panels and other exterior fittings!!! A more specific section would be well and truly used in my opinion, thanks to everyone who agrees!!!

I agree, but it is a 'treat with extreme care' section. Panel work, painting and even panel fitment and gapping is a skill that takes along time to master, hence why the apprenticeship is 4 years. All I am saying is that it isn't as easy as buying bog, sanding and painting if you get my drift...

I 110% agree with you, I don't think this is an area to be used in replacement for a fully qualified panel beater. Just an area for people to bounce suggestions off one another. Thats all...

Exactly so long as people acknowledge that it isn't as easy as it looks sometimes

i could have used it when i kicked the back of fairlane in when the net got stuck in the locking mechanism and it would not open.

Poor Aussie Pete ruined a good set of seat covers that day

I can use a section like it, not many panel beaters in this area want to touch older cars. I've done in the front of my xb and need all the help i can get.. especially reassembling bits, theres always those two bolts left over!!! lol

Do we have 9 panel beaters on here??? I must stress that i don't want this to turn into an alternative to professional advice.. :monkes: but that is the same as everything on these sort of forums!!

The old man's a panel beater & spraypainter, has been for 35 years. He's willing to offer his advice.

That's a great idea, finally somewhere to talk about body kits as well?

No, begging is good, though some home made treats for the trip to Wagga Wagga will guarantee the section!
