Is there anyway to delate old threads say XYZ days old, or perhaps threads that have not had a response for say XYZ days.
I dont mean like 1 week, but say 30days, 60 days whatever. just a suggestion. |

Maybe the rule could apply to for sale and wanted only.
Or we need a techy to go through and do regular cleanouts of irrelevant stuff.

Items that are sold are removed, as there objective has been met
There are moderators who go through the for sale items and remove those ones which are sold, but there are a lot of new threads started daily and if the mod is away for a few days etc some threads may be missed. If there are any missed, send a PM to one of the mods listed in the bottom right hand corner of the for sale forum and they will remove it |

What if the originator of the thread has the rights to close his/her own thread? Is this possible? It could work well in the for-sale section, but maybe also for the other sections...

Not at this stage
We are looking at making changes in the future with that section, but a quick pm to an admin or moderator of that area the same result can be had. The admins and moderators will be making the call outside the for sale section as to which threads are to be closed, this wont change. If you feel though a thread needs to be closed, either use the report function or PM a moderator
