I would not be surprised that the last event has an effect on numbers

I cant be there until at least 12.30 at the earliest, but is it worthwhile going at that time. I'll be happy if I get two runs.

I won't be going now either. I ran my time on Wednesday and cant justify the money going back so soon. The original plan on going was if Wednesday flopped.

They've put in an extra hour too, gates now open 9am and racing starts 10am.

275/35/19 Hankook Ventus RS3's have been fitted due to an 8 week wait for the R888's, will be out there tomorrow to see if these tyres are any grippier than the Invos.

They may need a bit more time but so far they feel the same as the Invos, tomorrow will be the real test.

I may just to go back to e-flex as the united tune just blazes the tyres in 3rd and that's with the e-boost off (400rwkw).

May still try the R888's if these don't get better.

No worries I just run eflex it was tuned on united but my qtr time was on eflex personally I cAnt feel much of a difference, next time I'm at the strip ill run in on united and see if it makes a difference!
That's a bit disappointing on the rs3 and im starting to think other than r888s Its not worth spending decent money on high performance tyres as nothing is going to hold the power these things make!

Lee, the United should give u a bit more out of the hole, the lil extra torque it produces over the eFlex is fantastic

no worries George, haha i don't think it helped looked like it went slower and mph was down

we always found with street tyres too big a burnout it doesn't like, too big get's too hot and glazes over. it's hard finding that perfect medium.

Seems like everyone had a good day, Paulie loves his united he must have share options lol..........

Why not use a drag tyre instead of sticky road / track day tyres?

The goal is to drive to the drags and run a 10 sec pass with my daily street tyres.

It is proving to be a difficult task.

Aw good luck with the goal! Stick at until the tyres do! Come to a Track Championship Day the track prep is much better then a off street event.

i wish i did all the people we have put onto it if we use something and it works let others know. we started using it 4 years ago, we made a switch to it full time for racing in the Capri 2-3 years back, we have tested a variety of fuels and blends, the United has always performed consistently.

a track championship would be the go, the track is always stick as a mofo.
