Default 4WD turbo tx3 help??

Hi, I have a 91 KH 4WD turbo Laser tx3, I need to replace the fuel tank and Im trying to find out if the tank from a regular efi fwd laser KH will fit?? Ive had heaps of different responses from wreckers so far and dont know who to believe.
Cheers.

The 4WD turbo has a split tank with a transfer pump due to the tailshaft to the rear diff. Therefore I doubt the normal 2WD efi tank would fit.

The memories.... bought a KF 4wd turbo new back in 1990 and modified the hell out of it!

Good luck with your search.

Yes, parts are more expensive for the turbo. I smashed an exterior mirror courtesy of a suicidal pigeon and then discovered the standard Laser electric mirrors don't fit! Had to buy a new one from Ford as no wreckers had any back then.

It's different, easy way to notice is for one it's smaller!

If you can't afford parts you shouldn't be driving a performance car. Don't skimp, you'll eventually **** something up and regret it.

Well, see if you say that when it costs $250 for a mirror compared to $50 from a wrecker. ;) We're talking $250 back around 1992 as well.... not today's $$$.

If you only knew how much I spent on that car. Back when I was modding it nobody knew how to mod the BP 1.8 engine- for example bypass the boost cut out etc. Workshops were experimenting on my near new car and most were charging full price and then not getting it right.

I paid squillions to get a high flow turbo that held together, a company developed their electronic boost controller on my car etc. In fact I spent over the car's cost new on performance mods (and I'm not talking bodykits and cosmetics.)

Sorry mate we're not talking about back in the day when TV was being invented, talking about current times.

I'll always say if you can't afford it don't drive it. It saddens me to see KF/KH 4WD's looking like a ****heap because their owners are cheap pricks, or even worse, cheap pricks who don't know anything about cars and drop the clutch at 7k. If you had a 4WD, you'd know what that meant.
