Morning all!
first time poster but ive been trawing these forums ever since buing my BAmk2 falcon ute. bought it with intention to cart around my dirtbike, and I aim to fix all the little rattles and little problems, so this site has been a wealth of information as there have been plenty of threads with people with similar problems, lucky falcons build quality is consistent....which is not good haha compaired to previously owning japanese cars (Evo 7, Nissan silvia and r31 skyline).

I am keen to make a nice carpeted tray for the ute and a simple stereo and then just drive it

anyways pleased to become a member. CHeers

Hi everyone,
I have been enjoying this forum for some time now and being the owner of a BFII RTV, I have enjoyed posts dealing with RTV tyres and ride-height, have benefitted from instructions regarding stuck headrests, and been floored by the AWD wagon project. The extent and depth of knowledge on this forum is amazing. Thanks, and hi! Gary

Ok - Thought I should just make a quick introduction. Ended up on this site after being referred by a mate when I asked him about what I needed to do i norder to change my own rotors and pads. Yep - as you can guess by that comment I am far from a mechanic!

Anyway I have a 2007 BF II XR8 ute so will probably be checking in here more than a few times to get hints and tips on general maintenance stuff and how to fix up the little rattles that appear to be creeping in after 4-5 years

Hi Everyone

I'm a bit new to this sort of chat, joined after purchasing a 2002 Explorer (promptly christened Dora by the other half) - and looking for information regarding a problem with the 4wd that occurred after a jump-start from the RACV and consequent installation of a new battery. No power to 4wd controller or cigarette lighter, plus ABS warning light is on. Has local Ford dealer stumped atm! Will surf the site for clues so, for now, thanx for having me :

Hi all Matt here 45 from Maitland, currently behind the wheel of a 2005 BF XR6Mercury silver , no mods apart from a SS big mouth to let her breath. Also what a great place for info, looking forward to doing to the XR but the money restrictions always hold us back.

Hi all
Just bought my first FPV GS. But can't drive it yet, because it's still on a truck on it's way here (Gladstone QLD) from Melbourne. So I thought it was only right to join AFF.

Hi all.... Long time lurker, first time poster.. Thought i would say Gday
Current Ride is a 92 EB Falcon sedan with an EL motor i put in it when the orignal motor blew up.. Also had a fairly neat XF ute i sold a while ago to pay for an overseas trip. 21 but still on damn P-plates, have bought a 03 5spd v8 silhouette XLS ute which is a bit of a Sunday car atm due to obvious reasons.. Project car is a xw falcon 500 ute that i have been slowly working on.. Quick question that someone here may or may not be able to help me with, looking to put some 19" G6E wheels or 19" silver argents on my ute and was wondering if 19's wheel fit/ride like ******? And if anyone wants to sell me a set of either i wouldnt be mad could also trade a set of non-genuine 18" twists.. Hopefully you'll see many more posts from me.. Cheers!

Hi all, Rob from Cape Town South Africa here.

Not sure which forum to post my question to so forgive me if this is not the right one.

I have a '78 F250 which I believe was made in your part of the world.

My problem is that I can't locate the VIN on the chassis which I need to get this baby legal. The US resources say that the VIN is stamped on the top of the chassis just next to the alternator but it isn't there I have brushed down all the chassis members in the engine compartment to bright metal but no VIN.

Since this is a RHD vehicle, would the VIN perhaps be in a different place? The US experts suspect that this is the case.

Can anybody help?

cheers

Rob

Thumbs down Re: Welcome to New Members - Post here to say gday!

hi all,
i'm new to the ford forum and i have got a question for anyone in the forum who has installed a wireless reversing camera in a ba ute.
i installed one, i get a great picture while the motor is not turned on, just ignition on and in reverse gear. when motor is turned on there is no vision just interference on screen. manufacturer is sending me another unit to try.
is there something i am missing? i do not want to hard-wire it in.
thank you for any reply,

yruf

Rob, there is an F series section, try reposting the question there.
