Default 09 ford focus lv xr5

Hello All

i know these cars are known to have pretty average aircon but when mine does goes it goes well. the problem is it cuts out all the time with no warning no faults come up at all. it doesn't matter if i'm driving it nice and easy or giving it the lead boot it just cuts out and stops. i have to turn it off for ten minutes and it will work again but will cut out randomly. sometimes it will last for hours but most of the time i get about a half hour before it starts playing up.
i'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue or knows what could be causing it?.
