Default Its been awhile.

I've been busy working doing all sorts of stuff and havn't had much time to post here.

Had the doors apart to install some sound deadening for my on going stereo install. so while I had the windows ok the windows went to the tinters and got done abit darker. :P Not saying how dark it is.

Finished product

If you wanna see the sound deadening process its here.
http://www.0xyg3n.com/mods/stereo
I got 2 50sq foot rolls I have used most of 1 and the other one is till unused but I'll be striping the interior out for that.

This is the current mod I'm working on :P I really should finish one before I start the next one lol.

Was powder coated this week. Some of you guys and maybe some focus owners can pick what they are. :P

Lol thanks guys.

The second set of rims is just for something different :P plus while the ST rims are off I'll get some stuff marks fixed up.

Yep Black MP3 rims $760 from local dealer then 66$ each rim for sandblasting, primeing and powder coating.
The cheeking bugger even crossed out all the ford logos on the boxes and wrote holden lol

Better pic

About the website as well I've been meaning to update it abit more. Got a couple of how too's to post up for mods etc. As I said before I have so much unfinshed stuff going on at once lol.

Rims looks awesome

Did you deaden the inner skin of the doors or just the outside?

Car looks great, and I love the individuality of the powdercoated MP3 rims.

What barnd of sound deadening material did you use? Been wanting to do the same to my boot and hatch door for ages, but hadn't got my hands on material I was happy with

He said he has 2 x 50 sq ft rolls, so that sounds like he bought some FatMat rolls off of eBay ;)

I have heard FatMat is good for the price, but I have also heard people living in hotter climates complaining that on a hot day the adhesive melts and it slides off, so you need to use a good spray adhesive as well when installing to ensure it sticks.

its not fatmat. Its B-Quiet Extreme.

I only did the inner door skin but I might have a look at doing the plastic door panel that I pulled off.

Wheels should be on sometime soon I'm abit short on cash so it might be 2 weeks or so.

Mate, do you have a link or details on where you got those rims sandblasted and powder coated? I'm thinking of doing either my current 16"s or a set of ST170 17"s in a medium gunmetal grey colour, to offset my Machine Silver paint.

Those black ones look fantastic. I swear I tailed you on the Western Ring rd one night, out near the exit to the Calder.

Was a local place in Ballarat just around the corner from my place that did it. I am sure there are places closer to you that can do it. Just look up powder coating in the yellow pages.

If still wanna get it done where I did the company is
Ballarat Powder Coating & Sandblasting
410 Dowling St
Wendouree
VIC, 3355
Ph:(03) 5338 1555

It could of been me but it would of been awhile ago. Haven't been to melb in ages

Sorry if this is a dumb question... MP3 rims are Fiesta Zetec's rims, right?

Ok I have a simple how-to up. I used pics I already had and I'm working off memory here of how I did it. So if anyone thinks I missed something tell me. I'll go into more detail of how to pull off the inner door skin another day I have the pics for that already.

http://www.0xyg3n.com/how-to/door-trims/

Now its 3am so yes I know there is spelling mistakes and crappy gramma in it. Your just gunna have to live with it. :P

No I haven't pulled the trim off the rear yet. But I'll get to that at one stage I guess.

Never been a fan of black rims. They look like stock rims missing a hubcap.

100% For the effort and overall work on the car tho 0xy. Good stuff.

i didnt want to say it, but i agree with danny, they need a bit of chrome to actually highlight how big the rim is

Dunno... maybe if the centre cap was black too?

Either way, it's different and would be sweet to keep clean! Brake Dust... what brake dust?

Maybe a Charcoal colour?

Yeah I new some people wouldn't really like it. I'll get some decent pics soonish. It does look better in person almost totally different to the pics. You can still tell the size of the rims.

I have noticed more people are looking when I drive past then when I had the ST rims on lol :P

As for the center cap its staying like that I think 2 reseason's first its much like the ford badge with the colour on the back and i'm not sure if I striped the colour off if the ford logo will come with it (wanna keep that on there cos the cops are stupid and think wheels are OEM. Local cops had a crack down on aftermarket tyres and rim a little while ago and every car but mine got pulled over when I still had the ST rims on). And two it might look abit boring being all black I think that little bit of silver breaks it up abit.
