Talking Mater Dei

Once again we have been asked back to put on a club display at this social family day. For those that went last year will agree its a good day out for the club and the family.

More info will follow

The club has attended the past two years, and the Matre Dei Fate is one of the old style country events, with jams, scones, plants, raffles, honey's, strawberries & cream... large BBQ etc...

This is an opportunity for a short drive, static display, and to kick back and relax....... Its is all for a good cause, and is to raise cash for the school....

Once we get to the school, we will be set up right outside the main entrance to the fate grounds, and many people pass through. If you can join us in the morning, then we can make sure that you are parked in a location that you can get out, if you have to leave early. In the past we have tended to pack up in mid to late PM, 3 or 4, depending on weather etc... as last year was a little damp...

In the past there have been several cars from other clubs and types in the same area, and so there are plenty of things to look at....

My thanks to all who attended this weekend.

The weather was warm and sunny, and the winds of the previous day had subsided... All in all a perfect spring day...

Here are a couple of shots of the attendees...

The event provided a well wealth of revenue for the school, as it does each year, and I will be trying to find out how much this year, and let you know when I can.

There were stalls for all kinds of goodies, including strawberries and cream, fruit, plants, books etc etc... Food via the usual BBQ along with cold drinks, teas and coffee's. Music was provided by a Scots Pipe Band, and other entertainment also included Wood Turning skills on display, spinning etc.

The usual attraction of the highly popular chocolate wheel apeared to be well attended, as was the raffle for $2,500 worth of tools (including Go Cart).

All in all, a very peacefull kind of day... and to all those who could not atttend .. , but perhaps next year....
