Unfortunately, you couldn't be more wrong.

The big reason for the crackdown on Grey imports back in the 90's, was not enthusiasts bringing in rare collectibles. It was the Dodgey Joes bringing in POS by the boatload and flogging them cheap to a gormless public.

Those are the people who would choose to buy LHD because its easier for them to do their makeup whilst they drive.

I find it intersting that Ford build the Mustang in the US as right-hand drive but the imports of the Sliverado/Camaro/Dodgey Ram are received into Australia left-hand drive, converted here and, in the case of the Camaro, pre-sold as fast as they can be loaded on the ships despite the additional $20k price over Mustang.

Three are an overwhelming number of left-hand drive countries, but I think we are safe because we are best friends with countries other than those with left-hand drive.

The sooner we approve grey import approval of right-hand drive from Japan the better.

Those laws are currently going through parliament to allow it, there is backwards and forwards between government and importers at the moment.

Its the first time in 30 years this standard has gone major update.

Importer 'Iron Chef Imports' on Facebook has done a 1 hour plus podcast on this explanation of all the new rules and what it means in-depth.

Cashed-up Bogans have been forced to spend all their money on meth since the demise of the Commode Ute, so they are prepared to pay a premium for the next best thing. (Which is a Camaro, or for those with really tiny penes, the Silverado.)

I assume you mean new or late-model grey-imports by consumers?
There are many legal problems with grey or parallel importation of new vehicles. I don't fully understand the laws at present, but IIRC low-volumes are permitted, provided they are complied by an authorised importer??

I believe that climate change is caused by Left hard drive cars !

For us we prefer to do a left blocky, turn left onto a major road - the left turn is the easiest and safest, so therefore it is done more often.

But for those that do not drive on the right side of the car, they prefer a right turn.

With so many major economies being left hard drive, and in the northern hemisphere, this has an impact on the earth's rotation, and causes climate change !

I also have a solution: equal number of right and left hand drive cars in each country - best to do it based on the license plate.
