This is how my engine bay sits now. Still has ALOT of stuff to go in there, but will hopefully give you some ideas...

Currently working on getting the rest of the gear in their so should have some more completed pics soon Bacially everything is porcelaine coated, not overly expensive and actually functional in keeping uderbonnet temperatures down.

For instance the prices i paid...
$150 for intake manifold
$200 for extractors
$100 for rocker cover
ABout $60 per meter of 3 inch intake piping
$50 for the blower compressor housing

The finish will come out whatever the surface of the metal is like. If you want a super smooth finish, you will need to have the surface polished smooth first. My rocker cover and extractors came out nice and smooth, while my intake has a texture to it.

Oh and JETHOT coatings is the place i had it done.

ea2ba- that looks insane, so where did you put all the wires, i was thinking bout pulling the wires underneath the firewall sound deadening sheet and then make em so the go up need the wheel arch, and drill a hole in the engine bay so they can go to battery, is that what you've done. you must do a tutorial how to neaten up engine bays hahaha.
rmyers- i like the porcelaine coating looks great, and the paint in your engine bay is so shiney looks chrome almost,

Its not a perfect fit, but it does fit pretty well, and it involed changing the centre wiper mount position, but otherwise just screws on, there is a gap at the firewall end, but with bonnet closed you hardly notice.

It all bolts straight on, however unless you alos fit an EL Ecu or aftermarket chip for BBM switching and correct fuel maps, it will be just a pretty looking intake.

There's not much you can do to an engine bay of a 5ltr I guess. Then again 2 nice big Turbo's would go down nicely in a 5ltr engine bay.

Huh? Not much you can do to a 5 litre? You can't even buy replacement manifolds for I6's....
