On what Leesa was saying about how most men will try and rip people off, the women at the jewellery shop and florist shaft me good and propper every time I go in, what does that say about women??

The hipster's like to throw around the term "Fascist", which they interpret to mean anybody that disagrees with them. When the reality is that the Greens and their Woke buddies are this generations Fascists.

The Worst Fascists of the last 100 years or so (Hitler, Stalin, and Mao Tse-tung) all started out as Socialist or Communist. The most powerful Fascist regime today is the Chinese.

Fascism is actually defined as "a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts national and collective identity above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition."
So who does that most sound like in our current political spectrum?
Which party most wants to control not only how you live your life, but what your money is spent on, and indeed what you say and think.

What about the one where you sell both cows, spend the money on alcohol, piercings, hair colour and tattoos, then complain about your welfare situation on Today Tonight?

What women 'expect' of men?? Shouldnt we free each other from expectation, and instead accept people as they choose to be? Yet men are increasingly subjected to what some feminists have decided men should be like, which conveniently, is to be more like women.

Watched something on TV a few days back, maybe an SBS channel, it was about gender equality, focused on gender neutral kids, had to laugh about a young 10 year old boy, ( I think he was a boy ) lol, poor bugger must of had strange parents, he had a black earring in his right earlobe, what normal parent would allow that, but the interviewer asked him what gender he ascribed to himself, he said "today", interviewer said yes today, his answer!

Oh I haven't decided yet, I will decide when I get to school!
God help us all!

Welcome back, really.

For your statistical quest; one de facto separation, resolved without legal recourse or cost burden either way. Too busy unpicking the stresses of several years as a 24/7 carer to comment fairly on “happiness” ATM but I definitely enjoy a more fortunate life than many.

No such thing as a happy marriage, or a unhappy marriage for that matter, most folk are born and then experience some type of cohesive attachment with other family members, most struggle getting on with their own siblings and parents!

So you meet another person from an entirely different cohesive arrangement, then you each try to force your way against their way

It doesn't happen, you have to learn the very fine art of " give and take "
You only take the basic minimum from your partner, who, in return shows you the same courtesy!

A marriage which is a contract between 2 people really means a coming together, a melding or merging of 2 entirely different entities, who have decided that they are ready to " co-habit " but, and a big but, do it differently to the way their parents did it, of course they never realise that every child that comes along is not a " pretty, coochie-coochie " little bubby, but a ravenous attention and food guzzling, clothes guzzling, money guzzling parasite!

Sounds shocking eh, but 1 child immediately sets both parents up for the equivalent of " 16 years hard labour in Long Bay Jail "....or twins puts you in Goulburn Supermax Jail!
Then the home, wow, that's a block of solid concrete hanging from your neck, your "burden"

Is that what you wanted to hear Leesa

Cheers Billy

I'm really not interested in getting involved in this discussion, coz it will only end up in tears, but as a person that has recently finalised a divorce, I just wanted to point out that, based on the marriage being a heterosexual relationship, that for every male that has been through a divorce, there's been the same number of females that have had the same experience.

Not quite sure what this has to with the original post.

Perhaps you should start a new thread to further your 'research'.

This thread went off-topic several pages back as far as the original post is concerned. Why only bring it up now? You all good with all the previous off-topic posts?

So you think that after not posting for a number of weeks you'll just drop by and chuck in an off topic hand grenade?

Like I said, feel free to start your own thread about matrimonial bliss.

It was bait. Pure and simple. Must have had a problem with a man over the weekend, and needed to come in here and spew some man hate to feel better.

People have been quoting me for a number of weeks. Yet when I come in and reply, you get your back up and come for me for being off-topic and lobbing hand grenades. Where was your concern earlier when someone else was heading off-topic and lobbing hand grenades?

This forum may aswell just be an echo chamber for men to pat each other on the back about how bad women are, sit around have a circle jerk and call women out on **** you take offense to despite you all saying it and doing it first. Turn a blind when others do it but the moment I do it's the worst thing ever. Great job, GasoLane.

Don't take out your lady troubles on me, hey. Decent men don't carry on like some of the men in this thread. They don't take issue with people who feel they were born in the wrong gender or are actively transitioning, and they don't feel emasculated by the stuff some of the guys here clearly feel emasculated by. I don't really have to tell anyone what makes for a lousy man because lousy men out themselves with their own words.

Edit: Oh and decent men acknowledge that there are lousy men in the world! ;)

And lol at lady troubles. My wife to be is my best friend, and the most amazing person I have ever met. So lucky to have her in my life. Amazing mother to our 3 month old son too.

Sorry you had to hear that, now you can go back to spewing your man hate.

For those of you with wives.. not necessarily limited to the people quoted above.. what do you say to slowsnake's belief that there's no such thing as a happy marriage?
