I need a rocker cover gasket. Ha any one tried the ones on ebay, or know where to get one, I would need it posted.

Wow information overload! eBay sells rocker cover gaskets for any number of different cars in genuine and aftermarket varieties.

Thought you may be smart enough to work out its a FORD, the hint was the name of the site. And no they don't have genuine ones on ebay. A general opinion on if cheaper after market gaskets were good enough was all I was after. If I had realized a gasket expert like your self was on hand I would have given more details, or posted on FB where I would have expected a reply from people like you.

This is the Pub section of the forum, not a technical section. Expect a pub style answer. The thread currently at the top of the list is about a Jeep, with other threads in the pub section about other makes of cars. I see so many other people rushing to help you with your well written, detail included question.

As others have said this is the Pub area and people ask questions about all their cars even ...gasp...non Fords!

Had you mentioned the year and model Ford you were trying to get the gasket for you probably would have the answer you wanted by now.

The more details you can supply the more veracious answers you'll get.

The OP has posted some information on some of his other threads, So I would guess he's looking for a rocker cover gasket for an FG XR6T, that could be sent to Tennant Creek.

To the OP, a quick squizz of the Repco webpage lists a Permaseal Rocker cover kit, which would be probably what you're after. Other parts outlets would be similar, and I wouldn't be surprised if Ford have stopped making them now anyway.

In my experience, most gaskets now aren't much chop since no one makes them here any more. I recently did an inlet manifold gasket on my BF ute, and that kit came from New Zealand.

Try one of their pages, send an e-mail, and I'm sure they'd be happy to arrange postage out to you.

Welcome to the forums Tennant, there are plenty of knowledgeable folk here that will happily share info and answer questions, but help us to help you please.
As you've found out, there's a right way, and a wrong way to ask...

Ed

Tennant creek.. 5 hours from Alice.
I recon getting one on Ebay with freight included would be the answer - they would all make a loss on the freight.
