Default Shapes why??

Those idiots at Arnotts have messed with the flavour of shapes I'm sure of it, has anyone else noticed they have no flavour at all now?

I agree with your statement, but why exactly is this thread here?

I havent eaten them for a while, but i woudn't put it past them. There is only one reason why they would do it, and that is cost savings. Same thing for the reduced portion sizes the food companies seem to be putting our way lately.

Shapes do the reduced portions thing too.

Have a look at the weight of the boxes of different Shapes flavours.
I am pretty sure they are all the same price, but particularly in the "selections range" (or whatever they call it) there is like 20 or 30g less in the boxes.

Those shape selection ones aren't too bad.

Had some BBQ ones last night though, no good.

Never really liked Shapes. Would much prefer vege sticks or crackers/bread with a nice home made Tzatziki or Taramasalata dip.

I don't buy them anymore for a number of reasons

-They're chocka block full of salt and saturated fat

-I'm on the wrong side of 100kg and need to lose weight

-They have no flavour on them any more! Arnotts skimp out these days, they're just plain crackers now with no flavour at all.

I hadn't had a bbq shape in ages until the other day...just tastes like salt and chili flakes to be honest.

I can't say I enjoyed it, but then again I am not big on Junk foods.

They are making the packaging smaller though. Just look at a bar of chocolate.

I also noticed the other day that Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate is no longer using the "Glass and a half of full cream dairy milk"

Appears they have gone down the powdered milk road....Sigh.

The Pizza shapes certainly taste different.

I long for the days of Tomato Salsa shapes, they where the BEST.

I do indeed....

1 cup of plain Greek yogurt
1 cucumber - seeded and grated
1/4 cup of fresh chopped mint
1/2 clove of garlic - crushed fine
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper

Optional extras include parsley and lemon juice. (I add 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice).
Then just mix well.

Another really easy one is Tyrokafteri, which is just Feta and chilli blended to a creamy paste.
500g Feta
1 red chilli with the seeds removed. You could increase this if you like it hot.
1 tablespoon of vinegar
4 tablespoons of olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of oregano

Let the Feta sit in a bowl of water for 1 hour, then drain and cut it into cubes.
Chop the chilli finely.
Put the feta cubes in a mixer, add the chilli and begin beating.
Slowly add the vinegar, olive oil and oregano.

pretty good, small hint, after you grate the cucumber, add a tablespoon of salt to it, mix it, let it stand for 30 minutes, wash and squeeze.
this will stop the cucumbers from "bleeding" making your dip hold up better.
i also add a bit of cumin powder ;)

Good tip!! I've known people who add dill to it as well, but I'm not a fan, and I've had several Greek friends tell me they can't stand it with dill either.
