Hi there,
I am looking for a car club to join for club rego? I have an XB sedan- I have downloaded a form but not sure if its only for Coupes (as the name suggests.. bahahaha). If so, any ideas of a club in the Dandenong/Rowville area I could look into? I only found out about club rego and the rules suit me as I only drive her once or twice a fortnight. Any advice is appreciated. Lawrence |

Hi Lawrence. We have club members who are "coupe less" for one reason or another and we do have people join even though they don't have a coupe. All are welcome but I guess it depends on whether you'd feel left out of things given that it is coupe oriented. I'd like to think you'd feel welcome with us.
Why not come to one of our club meetings, meet the guys and see for yourself. We are a very active club and like to get the cars out regularly. As for the club permit scheme, we are not a club which is registered for that BUT we do have a very close association with the Falcon Cobra Club who are a club permit listed club. Most of us who are on club plates are "dual citizens" so to speak. There is a 12 month waiting period where you need to be a financial and active club member during that time. This may not suit you if your XB is not already registered but you'll find a lot of other clubs do the same thing. If your XB is still on full rego this may work for you, it'll just mean keeping it going for another 12 months. There are other clubs around that will give immediate access to club plates, this may suit you better if you need it straight away. I don't know of any like this so you'll need to ask around. Good luck, and hope to meet you at a coupe club meeting one of these days.
