I have a mirror and genuine loom. Is it possible to install the loom - eg connect the interior light cable without removing the roof lining? or is roof lining out the only way?

Or is it possible they have the same loom and the plug for the mirror is tucked up in there?

Hi Sam, I want to transfer my mirror from my SY to SZ MkI. Do you know if the SZ MkI had the loom installed?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to ever look at any SZ Territory's to answer you, but if it is like the SY Models, the TS and Ghia had the Plug there, even if the mirror was not fitted. So there could be a chance for it to be, otherwise a fuse tap loom like I'd do for the FG's would be your best option, the EL-BF Phone Plug like in the SX/SY models I use for the looms are not in the SZ Either from what I know.

Cheers, Sam.

Hi Sam,

Have any screw base ones available? Both my SY2 and my dad's SYI have the screw base strangely!

Hi, I don't unfortunately, But your cars might be fitted with the FG Mirrors (I assume Territory models built during the FG build have the later mirrors), I've seen SY2's with FG style mirrors, but then the high series have the same BA Dimming Mirorr, and they can still take the clip base mirrors, if you remove your existing mirror and take a picture of the wedge on the windscreen I can tell if it will suit, so far every FG owner that has sent me a pic of the windscreen mount on their car has shown it is the same as the BA Mount, even though they are screw mirrors. AU's are hit and miss with the base though.

G'day guys,

have one of these mirrors. Need to find out what pins do what function as my car doesn't have the wiring loom or connections. There are 4 wires. There's obviously a 12V+ and Ground to make the mirror function, but the wires aren't coloured as I'd expect them to be.

Cheers
Aussie Dave
