lol at another wheels Wheels article. The Bonnet details around the front bar are wrong and so are the headlights. Stupid thing is we know what they will look like as we have seen clear views. Idiots.

You guys that think that they should stuff a Deisel in the new Falcon must not realise that the stuff is the biggest polution and supply problem we face in Australia.
Years ago only trucks were Deisel and even then there were supply problems because over 90% of it has to be imported. Now add to that all the latest fad towards Deisel cars and we are having to import more = more polution. The supply chain is get thin and I would not be suprized if it breaks soon.
What will happen if there is a shortage ?? Will the Gov't step in and only allow essential Transport to have access to the limited supplies.
Its unlikely that Ford would consider it anyway given its all over red rover.
They should be concentrating on LPG etc where they already have the resources (including a LPG Territory- but I am biased). We have heaps of it in Australia. Its the lowest poluting and we only need the Gov't to fix the pricing /distribution system to the benifit of Australia not send it overseas at half the cost.
By the way I have several deisel's in my Fleet but have had lots of LPG ones as well.

Thanks for the magazine chops.

Gone will be the days when you bought the latest Motor or Wheels back in the day when EF / AU / BA were not yet released, but certain spy pics and details were printed. Before web based forums etc took off.

Of interest, you can't run any rego checks on any of the mules seen so far.

Used to be no issue. Most interesting either way.

The rear better not look like that Wheels pic. That looks like a Toyota Whitegood.

That's what most car manufacturers seem to be going for these days.

Only obvious difference from the Wheels pic is the indicator/reverse light in the actual car appear to be above and not below.

However I drive a 2.7 Territory diesel, and really rather like it.

Isn't the Territory lighter than the other vehicles the 2.7 was used in, hence better performance ect?

*Psst*, the 2.7 and the 3.0 are the same engine, but with a slightly larger bore and stroke to get the 3.0 and of course the extra hairdryer. The fact the design debuted in 2004 is irrelevant as the engine has the same features as diesel engines in more fancy cars.

Just noticed. The shot of the white XT on the road looks like its got a different tail lamp cluster to the XR6 at You Yang's. The white car appears to have the white bit at the top like Mondeo , while the XR looks to have it in the lower part of the lens.

Do people consider the tail lights on the E92 BMW as "Camryish" then?

Curious.

Tail lights are a silly argument. I always have to take a second look when a VW Passat (or is it the tiguan?) passes me by. I keep thinking it's a VF commo due to the similarities in the tail light position and size/shape.

I agree, if it looked like that then ford can have my money.

At least wheels is creating a story about it, people would be complaining if the new ford didn't even get a mention

Curious.
This shows how subjective styling is.

To me, the rear on this doesn't "look" right. The lower edge of the light on the boot should match the lower edge of the light in the rear guard. The angle of the inner edge (near the number plate recess) should match the angle of the recess for the number plate. The lights on the boot just look like an afterthought, whereas the rear lights on the XR8 chop appear more integrated.
