Default Night Shift!

Google isnít helping me, so thought Iíd ask here.

Iím coming up to the end of a 4 week shut down swing where Iíve been on nights the whole time. The original plan is my last night being Thursday and then Friday, Saturday and Sunday off, then back to regular day shift. Itís possible that the shut for me will end a bit earlier, Iím curious what the minimum time is between changing from nights to days is. Itís probably different between industries, but surely itís at least 48 hours?

Like I said google has been no help and no I havenít asked my employer yet because they wouldnít have a clue...and Iíd like to have a bit of an idea before it happens.

Holden: If you cant beat them, buy them.

What ever the minimum fatigue brake required for your industry is or eba states , effectively them paying one shift that you've dropped

But if you nite sift ends with out having the required brake then they usually look at the next days start

On the flip side if they have to give you 48 hours , they may not like giving 4 days straight
yes still (as money n time permit) doing the

rebuilding the zh fairlane with a clevo 400m 4v heads injected whipple blown with aode 4 speed trans to a 9" ....... we'll get there eventually

just remember don't be afraid to try something new.

we do a rotating shift

3 days on 4 off
3 nights on 5 off
4 days on 3 off
4. Nights on 7 off

Rinse repeat

How the laws work I don’t know but a good employer will know that your first (day) off is a right off so it would be at least 48
