Default Fuel additive Capless Fuel Filler spill over.

I have a 2011 Focus Trend with the capless fuel filler and when i try adding some fuel cleaner additive (even with a long spouted bottle) the additive just spills out the gaps on filler I cant seem to get it down.

Any suggestions would be a great help.

Are you able to get a spout from somewhere like SuperCheap? Something like this:

Did the car not come with a funnel?

The MD Mondeos come with a funnel to fit the capless fuel filler. It is accessed by folding the back seat forward. Lift the forward edge of the load area carpet and the funnel is there.
