Default Bali - 20 years on

I am amazed that people still go to the ****-hole. Obviously people have forgotten that 88 Aussies died at the hands of Bali radicals

My son went there about 10 years ago and what he said about the place sums up my feelings - none of my family will ever go there

RIP to the 88 - you are not forgotten

This is spot on. A lot of my friends go on about it like its the best trip ever. I don't see the appeal of going o/s only to see more aussies running a mock.

Back on topic though I have spared a thought today for those who have lost family members & friends to this horrific tragedy.

I lost a couple of close, childhood friends in the bombings. My mates little brother first in Bali, then my mate to suicide shortly afterwards. I'm not really interested in the current remembrance, their childhood home is near Mums house which I visit most weekends and I remember them every time I drive past.

Knowing the above I still have people trying to persuade me to holiday there, "Its great, sitting by the pool drinking **** and getting massages all day"
Shame I'm not that simply amused

Hi Guy's
Ive never been to Bali and will never go after i saw the special Bali 20 years on.
The way they talked about Australians and it wasn't real nice. I was offended but they are only too happy to take our money when Australians visit Bali.

Can't blame the locals for disliking 'Australians'. Have a look at the majority of the demographic they see and that's their perception of what the rest of us are like.
