Default Pics in sig not showing anymore?

Hi guys,

I have two pictures in my sig that have stopped showing up as pictures - now they're just url text. I noticed it about a week ago, so the first thing I did was check photobucket to make sure they were still there. I tryed re-doing the sig but they still won't display.

Is it possible it's a privileges problem?

Thanks,

Tas

Not really sure.

Have they been entered as Signature Pictures in the Edit Signature area, via the User CP.

I think this changed a while ago and images can't just be entered as code in the signature text anymore.

It was fine just last week!!! My permissions say:

Allow Basic BB Code Yes
Allow Color BB Code Yes
Allow Size BB Code Yes
Allow Font BB Code Yes
Allow Alignment BB Code Yes
Allow List BB Code Yes
Allow Link BB Code Yes
Allow HTML No Allow Image BB Code No
Allow Code BB Code No
Allow PHP BB Code No
Allow HTML BB Code No
Allow Quote BB Code Yes
Allow Smilies Yes
Can Upload Images for Signature Yes
Can Upload Animated GIF for Signature Yes

Wierd that it says HTML is off when it clearly works. I can set one with the signiture picture function but they both worked fine before with just pasting the Photobucket IMG tag in as code.

I know when I uploaded my pic it would not allow me to use the HTML IMG tags. I loaded the pic directly onto AFF.

Your issue is not a permission one as you have the same permission set as me

Cheers

Speaking of which, is there an option to turn them off all together?

I am trying to upload an image and get the following message:

We're sorry, but you currently are over your quota for allowed disk space.
Please remove images from your gallery to free up more space.

I previously had no limit on disk space.

Everyone should have a limit on disc space except mods and admins - it's just more for some groups than others. I recently updated the limits for the gallery as the limits had not been implemented after the upgrade.

For attachments it's:

Registered Users: 500 kb
DM's: 5 Mb

For the gallery it's:

Registered Users: 20 Mb (Max 500 kb and 5 per day)
DM's: 50 Mb (Max 800 kb and 20 per day)

Cheers
Russ

You can turn off signatures. If you go to your User CP, Edit options, half way down under thread options I think it is, there is a check box for showing signatures. If you untick it, you will not see them in a thread or PM I believe.

Cheers

There is a pixel size limit for signature pictures (to ensure that the forum doesn't get cluttered with numerous or large pictures in members' signatures). However, some members were using IMG tags to display their signature pictures which bypassed the size limit altogether, so there were some profiles with pictures that were inappropriately large for a signature. Russell rectified this issue by turning off IMG code in signatures- so to display a signature picture, it must be uploaded through the system where it will adhere to the size limit, just like avatars.
