hey russ not sure if it is related or not but I have noticed the forum drop down menu has disappeared from the lower right hand side

+1 here also for the Jump to Forum drop down disappearing.
That's a feature I always used. Read the thread and you're down the bottom there, so you just click on the Go button to go back to the forum.

I pm-d russw about it as well and he informed me that he has removed it for the moment to see if it is related to another issue that is going on

It will be back shortly as it wasn't the cause of the issue I'm tracking.
Apologies for the stuff up this morning but I created a scheduled task to clear the mySQL queue cache at 04.30 each morning (after the backup which tends to fragment the cache badly) but forgot to un-tick the simple schedule box so it was happily doing it every 30 minutes! Cheers Russ
