Has anyone done this?
My wife recently had a ride in her friend's XR5 and was impressed by the Recaros. Having driven one myself, I agree with her. She's now adamant that I get similar seats for our Fez. Yeah, it's a first: my wife insists that I mod the car. I fully intend to follow her wishes. Does anyone know where I can get a decent set (blue & black) for $500 or less? I've seen a few on eBay, but I'll be checking out a few brick-and-mortar shops this week for cheaper seats. Has anyone installed such seats themselves?

For brand new RECARO's Ideal Seat Co. in Moorabin is the Victorian Dealer/Distributor for RECARO Seats and it might be worth contacting them. If you do, please also ask them about Focus LR seat compatability as I've got a RECARO LX sitting in a box waiting to be used again. Eddie.

bummer dude. But i def agree with you. The XR5 seats are the best i've ever sat in!

Have you thought about redoing the foams and recovering? Maybe cheaper, or maybe we could look at getting some stuff shipped from the UK in a container, how much would that be?
