Default Hi tec ATMs

NAB & CBA are both doing total refits at my local shopping centre & I was chatting to one of the builders about the project as it's not everyday you refit banks. Turns out, the new machines weigh a tonne each and the walls have several layers of various materials including steel, aluminium, some type of reinforced cement and of all things, Kevlar. That will give the ram raiders something to think about, trying to get a tonne of machine in the back of your Forester GT

After seeing videos of ATMs being chained up & reefed out of shop fronts, I often wondered why they didn't encase them in steel & concrete like the old bank & business payroll safes.

Even just bolt-on panels to secure reinforced concrete - with bolts only accessible from inside - would make them so much harder to take, without making them impossible to install at a reasonable cost.
