Exactly! One of my old bosses, who I highly regard once said; You can't be everything to everyone only most things to most people.

As far as I'm concerned, I come here for Fords. If I want politics, ill go to a political forum. I mean, do the members of political forums ask for a section on Fords?

I can see points both for and against on both sides here. Another car related forum I'm part of has a political section, with people from all over the world discussing topics, and from what I've seen it works well. Very few dramas there.
Admittedly they only have half the membership AFF has, but the majority of the regulars are all friends offline as well.

They also have a NSFW section which is opt-in, and is a section that does not get indexed by search engine spiders, so what happens in there stays in there. I don't know how any of that actually works, but it's an option...

It's being beaten by a girl driving a Ford

I come here for the community, hence why I mainly hang about the DM section and the top with the general automotive and off topic chat.

I like seeing some peoples build threads and maybe commenting if I can help with a problem or have one, thats about it for me.

Which is why its nice to talk with the people here about something different once in a while.

I'm sure those political forums would have an off topic section where they might talk about cars.
