I'm in the process of getting a 74 escort panel van into running condition. Just wondering what is the best way to fix the left front quater panel as it took a hit with the previous owner and currently is full of bog. I hate bog it's the devil... Suggestions and price range would be very helpful, Thanks!!

Unlike Falcons Escort panels are welded on. You will have unpick all the welds to swap bits. Likewise off the donor car if someone hasn't already done so.
I'd say that's why the previous owner did the bog thing. |

Yeh I noticed that. Is there the option to cut it out and weld a patch in or should I look for an entire panel? I just know that these are really rare and hard to get hold of.

I've owned 9 Escort panel vans over the years, and sometimes you are better off just looking for a better car. There's no easy way to fix a front guard on an Escort, other than patience, hard work and skill. I have none of those, so I bought the one below. Its still a bit rough in places, but its just a run-around for my nephew.

I'd prefer to keep the one I have currently. Apart from the front it's straight. I got it for free off someone I know and is running the 2L pinto engine, not sure how much it's putting out currently though. Might be best having a chat to a panel beater. It might cost a bit but the cost of the thing in the first place was free anyway.

u should put up a picture of the damage, and i think you should hammer and re shape as much as u can, and if still neccesary use the bondo.
