Well, after seeing these great pics and hearing all the stories, bugger it... count me in for the next one!
Add another V8 to the champion team. I'll settle for the skid pan in the meantime.

Hey Ken, I will be the first to put my hand up to be a time keeper at the next round, providing I can still get out and run my timed laps(I have to keep the 6's honest,hey)...

By the way... I have been talking to Mike from Total Driver, now if anyone is interested
from the club (numbers pending) Mike will hold a club High performance drive training day at Lakeside (again pending the venue will be running, we all will know in about 2 weeks).......if it goes ahead he is going to arange it for XR Club members only (again pending numbers)

Jabba Im sure the extra 2 pots are compensating for lack of displacement in other areas! :

I had fun, and me thinks (ali g style) by december I might be in a different car to the quick EL. Might be in a AU might be in a BA but I might be in a BMW.

Can we hire this timing equipment? Im sure with Herrod Motorsport as a event sponsor they will be able to help out with connections and the cost of this equipment. just a thought.

Come on 6's we all know we have the goods! lets just have some fun toying with the loud Henrys!

Jabba, (I love stiring you up) i think with you recent win and the size of you ego/head we should change the club name to Jabba & Others Club Of QLD : :gren: : : : :thebirds:

G'day gang,

Re: Lakeside

We'll work closely together on this one as we get closer to the time.

Firstly, we have to win our tender to get the track permanently. That will be advised to us in May sometime.

As for noise restrictions, we'll have to adhere to what the EPA designate for the zoning. I can't quite remember what the db reading must be below, but it is measured using a db measuring thinggy, set a certain distance from the track.

Well, enough technical jargon - wish us luck with Lakeside, our plans for the area are nothing short of astounding!

Chat soon,

Chat soon,
Are you going to be responsible for monitoring the noise levels ??

Or will you just have to take the council at their word that it is being exceded ??

The photos leading up the that shot and the commentary between you two was great, made my day worth it as well

All depends on when the skid pan is, and if I can get a leave pass (or just bring Vicki and Braden along )

Thanks all!

No, we have to provide our own measuring thinggy.

I guess it has to be available to them should they wish to come and inspect it.

Those cars all look great on the track, and the day was closer than the numbers suggest. If you take the average of the best lap time for each of the cars, the average for the 6s is 1:25, and the 8s are only 1 second faster at 1:24. Looks like a fun day was had by all.

The first Morgan Park my temp when through the roof,,, Thist time round I added Wetter Water to the coolant system. It help out a little, cost $28 a bottle, You only need one, add it to the exspansion tank. I also was told to run with the Heater on. I did not think it would do much. Boy, was I suprised when my car on the track was running at the same temp as it does on the road (1/4 on the gauge)
