Opps misread your original post as Aussieblue pointed out. This is what happens when you do things when your half asleep!

The rear rubber parking lever boot is still available, can get for $35 plus postage if required. Note the part number has now changed from ER2404A to 8R2Z2404A.

Hey GT Legend, no rush on this but when you get a chance maybe you could confirm this for me. I saw a genuine water pump for sale, suits EA/EB 6 cylinders. Part number is GWF 15010 59A

I have a set of genuine XB GT wheel hub things I’ve had in a box since the 80’s. A guy with a top show car at Summernats said they’re sought after. Can anybody advise?

Yes that is the last correct part number for a genuine water pump that you could buy from Ford. Its basically a Gates branded water pump in a Ford box. It replaced previous part number APW 5009 A.

Ford switched suppliers in the late 90's early 2000's and replaced a lot of OE style parts with readily available aftermarket equivalent as they often do.

Hi GTLEGEND,

I was wondering how much a new 2012 FG2 XR6T driver's seat belt & retractor is (I assume I'll need to re-use my latch-plate and pillar-loop)? Mine is getting pretty sticky, and I'm thinking of just fixing it with a new one, before I do all the cleaning hints that are on FFA here... Then I'll have a spare.

Thanks!

$90 I do think the pillar loop does come with it.

Hi Jase,

$130, have no idea on postage price, but that should be ok.

There is a delay as stock has run out and awaiting new ETA on next bunch. Will let you know ETA as soon as I can find out from dealer.

Hi GT. Thanks for checking for me. That's actually the same price I have been quoted here! It'll be easier to order locally and it appears we have stock!!

Actually, there is. I had a problem with my front brakes today. Diagnosis was a seized (ish) piston. I have seen a pair of pistons on Ebay for around A$42 plus A$35 shipping. That seems like a fair price to me. Whaddya reckon?

You would want to confirm that is the problem, remember there are two pistons per caliper, Not really common for them to fail, but not impossible. If its them then grab them as that is about what they are worth but are now obsolete from Ford. You will also need a piston seal and piston boot per piston you replace.

There are only a handful left around the place.

I took it to Cockpit (a local brake & tyre specialist) and they took everything apart, tested and said one of the pistons is worn. He cleaned it up and did what he could, but said they need replacing.

I can only go with what I am told, and its definitely a problem with the caliper sticking a bit as it is shuddering and getting very hot (and you can smell the brake pad). I'll give it a go and see if it fixes things.

Thanks again, Jase
