Resolved that one - it hadn't been updated for your user group.

The figure in your UserCP is the current reputation you have - the rep power is a calculated figure based on a whole range of criteria (post count, time of membership, your own reputation points) that determines how many you can give. They are (and likely always will be) different.

Is there a way Russ that when you click on a User profile, you can see who has left someone a rep comment and for what thread? I know I can see mine in my user profile, but can you make it so if someone clicks on a user profile you can see what they got a rep for?? or is that too complex?

So if the person leaves you a good rep but has no rep points (like in velocity_avisGT's case) you get nothing added?

Of the three good reps you have received (see your own attachment) the second one actually didn't have any rep points. So I am assuming that your points total will not increase.

Someone else might have repped him too Anthony. In your case, are you able to check after you repped someone, if anyone else has repped that person too?

nah, I'm pretty sure he didn't have any rep before i sent him some.
i don't think it's possible to see any other people rep (UserCP) or who has repped them. Only their 'rep power".

cheers, Anthony

When you select the thread they left a comment in you'll be directed to the relevant post in that thread.

What I meant was, when you view a Public profile, someone else's, not your User CP....It would be good to see something like the picture above. I know I can click on the thread...but only in my own CP.

Does that clear it up a little? Sorry I am probably not wording it correctly. It was just a suggestion.

No problems..(should I add a sentiment in here like lamb chop??)

I wasn't explaining it correctly. Hope that I made it a little clearer.

There isn't an option within the system for viewing the reputation awarded to others - only your own and then only after some has actually been added.

The code to display it doesn't look too complex and it could no doubt be incorporated into the profile viewing module.

I'd have some concerns from the privacy aspect and thus it would probably be necessary to add more code so that each user could turn off the public display in their UserCP - which would mean creating another profile option and it starts to get hard.

I will mull it over and see what ideas I can come up with.

Cheers
Russ

Thanks Russ for the reply. I can see by your explaination above that it will be a hard process no matter which way you go.

Would it be possible/easier to perhaps on the thread where the person gets a rep for their post, put something on the thread post like another smiley (for instance) or thumbs up icon in the right hand corner of that persons post so people can see that it is a good suggestion and therefore has been awarded a rep point?

Just an idea...

I don't get it either however if you read the first post it explains how you receive points, you joined in August 06 and receive 1 point for every 30 days you have been a member and in your case that is 34 months
