Seano you know you've got us lot in the club. We're not much to look at but we're good for a poker night full of Chips, lots of Farting and the odd joke or two. Chin up mate, come along to AFD and you know if you need anything we're her for ya bro.

Glad to hear you're ok dude.

I always thought your car was awesome; at least I got to see it in person last SFS. Plus, it's been immortalised on the Street Fords DVD!

Back when I was young and stupid (about 12 months ago), I'd had a pretty awful day and was doing the 'driving angry' thing. I got to a t-intersection way too f*&king fast - green light, pounce on the brake, hook it in.

It got very sideways. It came out the other side with slightly less rubber, a wide-eyed driver, but luckily still facing forwards and - crucially, I think - the right-way-up. But if I'd braked, or sawed at the wheel [both of which I think are instinctive, and perhaps how the OP reacted] then I reckon I'd have my own series of upside-down-miss-jane piccies.

Okay, I was over-driving it..... but it was pretty surprising

Thought I'd tell ya Shaun that samed thing happened to me on the weekend. Sharp wet mossy left hander and the thing went all taily on me.

As Mat said, 4 flashes of a little Triangle with a swerving car in it and It was all corrected and I was on my merry way unscathed. Grat investment for the unexpected to get a car with ESP.

I wouldnt rely on it too much though..

Seano

have written off a Ford LTD in my 20s and I know its one of the worst and most gut wrenching feelings ever. I fell asleep at the wheel around 8am (after a 20 min drive) for all of .5 seconds and took out a ute on the other side of the road. Let me tell you that now I think twice before I drive off.

I'm glad you're alive and well. Get back in the driver's seat and do what comes naturally. The feelings will pass and the memory will fade (somewhat!) BUT I bet you have discovered your mortality and have an appreciation for your life and others' that you may not have 'enjoyed' before.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. At least its a good opportunity for an upgrade

Ali.

Shaun
Very sad to see, I am glad to hear you came out of it okay. Such a pitty as your Zetec was looking great. As others have said it is a testimony to how safe these cars are designed to be that you are okay.
Time for an XR4 mate, trust me you would love it!

Yup!

I got one of those before as well.... its like a standard thing just to peeve you off.

Wouldnt worry about it.

You go to court... waste your time... pay what they call a "contribution to the court" and then you are scott free!

What happened, told them, they left. Didn't write anything down.

If I was in Sean's position with that charge... it would bug me. Not so much the $330 but the 3 points. Especially if I knew I didn't do anything wrong. Unfortunately I have no idea if it can be faught with any level of success or how to go about that, so I can't really give any advice.

that so terrible...good thing you're safe...that car needed tremendous repairs. how could you handle the situation? expensive repairs, perhaps! ford parts, the hood, the bumper, the headlight..the whole thing messed up.
