Still waiting for my new Panther Black WQ Fiesta Zetec.
Ordered 21/10/06 sales guy told me 1-2 weeks delivery but it has now been over a month & all I keep getting is "its at the point of departure" or "its been built" or "its on the docks waiting to be shipped".

Has anyone else had delivery issues?

I'm thinking of pulling the pin on the contract, waiting, then ordering an '07' model at a different dealership in the new year.

What do you guys think?

dont worry dude i got the same deal when i ordered my WP zetec in black. i ordered bodykit and rear spoiler as well. took them ages to get it to me. but it was well worth the wait.....stick with it and you will be rewarded.

Thanx photn. Hey they just fit the spoilers as aftermarket they dont do them at the factory, isnt that right? Was thinking of getting one but didnt order with the car.

well myne was fitted by the dealer. but yes you can get one ordered and all that for you to get fitted aftarwards...

ATSEIF DROF, people always have similar problems when ordering Fiesta Zetec... i dont know why. Maybe Ford isnt making enough of them for Australia, I dont know. The waiting time for my WQ Panther Black LX was 1 week.

EDIT :- I hope you get the car real soon.

Thanx guys, had a call today from the dealership he now says "its been built" and is "in the process of being shipped"......whatever the hell that means.....AD

I ordered mine back in April 04 I had to wait till June to pick it up.

Yeah, sounds like they only import a set number of Zetecs & if they sell them all or you want a particular colour you have to put in order & wait..................AD

I got mine up here in Bris within a couple of weeks of ordering, that was back in April, mind you there was only 3 colours available at the time, White, Sea Grey and Tonic unless I wanted to wait longer for one of the other colours, which of course I didn't........fortunately for me they had one available in White which was exactly the colour I wanted.

Others on the forums here have waited a long time for a Zetec, perhaps Swaytan would like to comment, from memory he waited a long time, funny enough for a black one too.

I ordered my Tango Zetec in feb & got it in march. It sat at the dealers for a couple of weeks, there was a suspension issue with the first WQ Zetecs.

Just a wrong part. Had to wait for the right part to come from Germany.

hey AD don't get too worried, I ordered my LS focus zetec in late july last year and didn't get the car until 27th of october, i'm sure your's will come soon

also your dealer can check what stage the oprder is at on their computers, the answers they're giving you sound like a load of bull, make sure they look it up next time you ask instead of answering you straight away

Ford Australia changed the Zetec suspension to "suit australian conditions" not exactly sure what they did.

This used Black WQ Zetec for $17,850 in Melbourne may be an alternative if you dont want to to wait any longer for a new one?

Actually, there was a delay with the first lot of WQ Zetecs as they had been delivered with non Zetec suspension (i.e. standard like the LXs). The cars then had to have their suspension converted to the Zetec specification.

Later cars have been fine - was just a mixup on the first few cars.

Quick update, called the dealership today, my Zetec is on the boat (yay!), have hit the sales manager up for a free spoiler because of the wait, he said he will see what he can do........hey, its worth a try :-)

Thanx for the support guys :-) So where is everyone getting these Fiesta ST (GT) stripes from? How much are they? Can you get different colours other than blue or white? Not sure that I would want them on my car but I'm curious...

edit - the last time I enquired, he was able to do metallic coloured stripes
