Default Hi resolution fav Bathurst pic

Hi all,

This is just about my all time favourite Bathurst pic and I'm looking for a high resolution scan.

Does anyone know where I can get a copy please? I want to hang it on the wall.

Cheers and thanks
Geoff

Maybe try this site:

http://www.oldracephotos.com/shop/

There used to be another site which specialised in selling original older and classic Aussie race photos but I can't find it using Google.

But they don't seem to have this particular photo in their gallery, but you could ask them.

This site has mainly older stuff, but you never know ... http://aussieroadracing.homestead.com/index.html

This site has a pic taken just after the flag drops + others ... http://autopics.com.au/

You may find something here. You will probably have to register to get in ... http://www.theroaringseason.com/content.php?

Autopics have it, but I can't seem to find it on their website.
But it is on their Ebay page. (Assuming it's their page, and not some bloke who downloaded it and is now selling it)

Is that Brocky on the inside behind the No.1 car?

Did the XC Cobras just compete the one year?
XD's in 79?

http://an1images.com

It seems they have secured the rights to three major image collections including Ian Smith's archive covering the 70's and 80's.

I would imagine they have access to a lot more images than the selection shown on the website.

XC's in 77,78,79. I'd say 79 was a mix of Cobra's and GS500's

1978 Bathurst https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKSXWH3aEEE
1977 - the famous 1-2
1978 - the Cobras, Moffat wanted more money from Ford, as he knew the general was going to come back stronger after the 1977 race, Moffat didn't get the funds he needed so the 2 Cobras were more or less painted up 1977 cars.(at least they won the race into the 1st corner )
1979 - Moffat raced the black federation Falcon.
1980 - Moffat raced the rushed together Unipart sponsored yellow XD Falcon.

Hi Geoff,

Perhaps you might consider using this software
https://smillaenlarger.en.softonic.com/

I have not tried it myself but I know of someone else using it for a concert poster and was very happy with the results after a bit of playing around. That poster started as a small pic he found on the internet and is now a large poster on his wall.

Hope this helps.

Also to the op, there is a company called Rebel Walls.
If you do manage to get the photo they can turn it into wallpaper so you could actually use that image on a whole feature wall.
Not cheap but you can get it made to any size.
Would look awesome on a garage wall / man cave.

You've got a very nice collection of models there Geoff.
