Default Swap & Go BBQ Bottles?

I have 2 empty big BBQ bottles still way in date and have never used the Swap and Go's from servo's.

Too far away to get them filled so i'm wondering if servo will accept my bottles to Swap???

From memory they might not bother checking the date and just swap them or if spotted they'll charge you an extra fee for swapping out of date stuff.

I have never had anyone check the ones I have swapped out.
Leave the empties at the cage and go in and pay.
They just lend you the key and let you go for it.
Most places only have one staff member who can't leave the counter area anyway.

You can swap your personal bottles and you can fill their bottles

A friend was recently sold an empty exchange bottle. Based on that, I’d be hefting a couple of the new ones to make sure they feel about the same as each other.

I use to get them in cars occasionally, I used to stack them next to the scrap bin and when they emptied the bin I would throw 1 in with the tap removed so I could get rid of them, I was then told by a customer that you could swap them over at Bunnings no problems as the retesting or new bottles are covered in the refill price, the company does not care and Bunnings dont check the date, they only check if you have a exchange, I exchanged 8 out of date bottles in 1 hit they did not check or care at all.

Swap and Go Gas Bottle day is the only time I ever qualify for the 4c / 10c (?) per litre fuel discount.

Apparently it was capped and taped. She doesn’t often lift a gas bottle and I suppose didn’t really think about it being not different in weight to the empty she’d just returned.

Being the scabby end of Launceston (Rochey) I would put money on someone returning it for a refund, all packed up like it wasn’t used “Didn’t need it mate”.

Problem with giving punters a key to help themselves. Might have been bumped in the cage and had a slow leak over time.
Wouldn't be the first time its happened.
