Default What have you done to your fiesta lately

I though i'd start a thread to discuss changes and mods to fiesta to give others ideas and inspiration
copied the idea from other forums since we are lacking a dedicated aussie only fiesta forum

anyway heres what i have
2012 Black CL Hatch, dead stock
things i have done so far:
Stainless scuff plates $18 from china
Mud flaps (to keep the cow crap off my paint) $16 from China
Red/black silicone interior protectors (in cup holders and door pockets) $12 from China

today I drove 200km before work to pick up a
Black Zetec rear spoiler,
Zetec Leather Wheel and a
Zetec lower front spoiler for $345
these will go on this weekend

more things i'm buying this weekend
a second hand set of 17x7 rims, going to paint or plastidip gloss black or charcoal

later to come
20% tints
30mm lowered
rear sway bar
zetec front grille
zetec rear diffuser

i'll put up some pics after i start fitting things

Ive got a 2012 CL hatch in metropolitan grey mods so far;
15% tints (the big windscreen makes it a lot lighter)
Eibach pro-kit lowered springs
17'r rims
Fiesta sticker (little sticker with the shape of the car)
Reverse camera stock looking licence plate light one

but the best mod i have made was to order (from Ford) a plug for the drivers side floor for $9, it keeps the mat from moving around all the time.

2011 silver Zetec, manual.
4 door scuff plates from HG. $32. Front ones replaced with genuine Ford items by proving to them they were part of the advertised standard features.
Front projector headlights with DRL's built in.

And boomerang armrest.

Very happy with all upgrades and doubt if I need to do ant more. Mind you, a sunroof would be sensational.

Changed the oil and got a new timing belt lol. I can't see myself doing anything else to it. It seems just right at the moment.

Although I did figure out how you tune the ECU on these things but haven't been brave enough to try it maybe one day when I'm parked close enough to a ford dealer to reflash it if I stuff it up

2011 Fiesta Zetec, Vision 5sp

Mods to date- window tint (woot!)

Planned to do catback exhaust mod, change the front grille to the WT one and get some team dynamics alloys, but I traded it in yesterday : (. Luckily, new car doesn't need any of those done, looks good enough as stock. So guess my master plans for mods are over haha!!!

Several k's out by GPS analysis.
And I'm not spending mega bucks on larger rims which will just cause a courser ride. Been down that track before and will not be sucked in again.

try ebay US and UK
I got my leather zetec wheel but its still plastic at the top and bottom so i might still get a full leather sew on cover in black with red stitching and then sell the zetec wheel.
got instructions to fit my front lip too looks like a pain, i need templates so i can drill holes in the correct spot and then it sticks on at the top with double sided tape, seems a bit crap for a factory item

fitted the zetec steering wheel tonight
what a c@#t of a job, used the slits in the sides of the wheel and took about 2 hours to get the airbag off but from then it was easy and it the volume controls work so i'm happy
i read up too and apparently the cruise control can be activated by ford, all the wiring is there and the switches on the pedals are also there, it will be a bonus if i can get the cruise working

looked at the front lip too but the factory zetec bar must have slits for the tabs to click in which my bar does not and i don't want to cut my bar up wrong, might just sikaflex it on and cut the tabs off yet. i'll ask a panel shop what they recomend

Just give it a good pull mate there is a fair bit of slack between the washer bottle and the rear. Well was on mine.

What have I done lately.
Well my Mrs put a massive scratch on the wheel after scraping a curb.
Got some wheel repair kit from the scratch doctor and fixed it. Turned out better than expected.
I realise this is a stupid post but that's all I've done lately.

after 3 months of complaining to ford and my dealer i finally got my floormat clips, but how the hell do you fit them? i'm temped to take it back to where i bought it and tell them to fit them but its 100km away. the dealer told me they don't usually fit the clips because they have to cut the carpet, but now i have scrunched up matts and clips i don't know how to fit.
any help?

I know it's probably not exactly what you're looking for, but the rubber mats from Super Cheap Auto, the ones with the red or blue fabric bits in the middle are a perfect fit for the Fiesta. They don't move no matter what you do to them and they're great at keeping your carpets clean.

This week, I clayed my Fiesta, full cut and polish on it, 2 layers of sealant (over 2 days to let it dry), then 1 layer of wax over the top once I've left the last layer of sealant to set overnight.
Now the paintwork is smoother than glass. Of which I haven't cleaned yet and is a bit of a mess of streaks. I guess that's for Thursday with a full interior vacuum and brush /w trim detailer.

I fitted the clips by positioning the mats where they should be with the clips slotted through the holes, next gently peel the mat up and cut the first slot with a Stanley knife at the end of the bottom of the clip. Take the mat out and cut the next slot using the clip as a guide. Un-buckle the bottom of the clip and feed the buckle through the first hole, the second hole and push the buckles together. Takes about 5mins to do.

i put on the smoked vinyl on my tail lights and it look sh!thouse
pulled it straight off, it looked too dull and didn't work with the black paint
the bright red pops better with the black paint and the light blue front vinyl i bought won't go on now as it just doesn't suit.
