Default AU XR head lights

Guys,

Can the AU XR head lights be removed from the plastic housing, if so, is there a how to do thread?

The plastic housings usually brittle and just replaced mine bought new housings on ebay and replaced headlights with aftermarket


Take adjuster tabs off old lights and refit


lights and new clips cost under $150

Do you have a link for those lights and housings?

There is a lot of fiddly bits to do and took me most of a day to do..plus these lights not perfect fit and had to move the adjusters including the fixed one 12mm back otherwise they hit on front bar and dont allow adjustment
1st thing i did was mark the current beam on garage was as reference.
No i didnt replace smaller high beam they are good the old outer lights had damaged reflectors

I'm having problems with the aim on my Fairlane Sportsman headlights.

I'll pop around for you to fix them for me.

Anyone had issue with one side headlight dim than the other.changed Parker bolb as was blown changed the head light with no change got me stuffed. really apreasate the help driving me crazy!

thanks for ur help.all morning out there thought I'd go over it again the headlight 3 prongs that connect to it the red wire gave few taps came on.so I guess next step is uncliping the 3 wires that go in the back of the plug and solder the wire back in place.finally but did go through taking rubber boot of checked all the wires first was the globe then thought change em around and nothing till next step playing with the wires and bang found it couple taps here there like you mention the earth cleaned them and the plugs with electrical spray and worked on the wires see if any lose.sorry so long but hope this helps somone in the same situation b pasent and long and play around..

Good job. Aftermarket light mods will become commonplace as original hella lights dry up. They are getting hard to find.
