Wow, I haven't been on here for a while- hard to believe it's all happening finally!

Well done to the people who have preordered already.

Not that odd, considering none of the other Fiestas can get it.

Aside from some VW Polos, I can't think of any current supermini that has factory cruise control standard. They're basically considered as city cars, manufacturers probably can't see the value in engineering cruise control into these cars.

See how arrogant they are after a drive on a really twisty road. More to life than straight line speed, I say!

The Falcon Tickford FPV Car Club of NSW does accept XR5's and will be accepting XR4's.

Is that a serious statement? It looks to me like a banned-substance-fueled post.

Congrats on the purchases guys, I don't see my chances of an XR4 parked in my driveway in the near future as I just signed a contract on a unit (finally pulled our fingers out and organised a mortgage), no mods in sight fot the near future too, we'll probably be living on 2 minute noodles for a little while.

Congrats Scarey. Mortgage is frightening at first but you'll learn to live with it. A bit of soy sauce on the noodles really brings out the flavour

Good to see, as a few of us XR5 owners tried to join the XR club of Qld, but they have told us we are not allowed to join their club unless we own one of the falcon XR/ FPV range.

The day a Falcon club does anything that would greatly benefit the small car community, besides covering there own, will be a sight to see... Didnt see any begging when the xr5 came out?? why all of a sudden now, are the falcons loosing their numbers?? :togo:

Do you guys want to have a reputation for being little wingers in little cars, because the way you are carrying on its going to happen.

An XR club will welcome you, why wouldn't they? A FPV club can rightfully tell you to stick it.

Exactly Polyal. The Falcon Tickford FPV Car Club of NSW has been kind enough to open its door to owners of XR5's and XR4 and instead of being thankful that a small car is being allowed in you whinge and go on and on.

Hopefully I will be up in Newcastle a bit as well.
Nice, I'll be sure to keep my eye out for it! Surprised you didn't see mine go through Richmond the other day ;) (Hence I haven't been here to reply to your post... did 1278kms in 2 days!)

Photoshop looks good - but they aren't going to have side stripes, are they? Also, you missed the XR4 badge under the rubber strip

Can't wait to see these little things on the road and track! If only they brought it out sooner! Can't help but think my email to Ford back in June 06 helped (It was afterall 1000 words long!).

Congrats to Ford for finally releasing the popularity of the Hot Hatches, and better yet, congrats to those who have pre-ordered it!

One obvious "mini" has it - the BMW Mini! And the Clios do too.

Ahh, forgot the Mini, admittedly only standard superminis had crossed my mind.

Clios are no longer on sale with cruise, are they? It was only the RSC182 that had it, right?

The stripes will be available in white, blue and silver! They will only be the stripes over the roof and none on the side! The are standard with the first shipment (May) after that they will become optional.
