Default Fiesta XR4

Well I went in to ford today to get some mudflaps for my fez, he asked what type of fiesta I had, and what engine size. I tell him that all Fiesta's have the same engine which is a 1.6 and he says that the software shows both a 1.6l and a 2.0l, so it looks for sure that the XR4 is on its way as ford have put it on their parts system.

^^^ maybe they're gearing up for it so by the time the XR4 is released customers wouldnt have to wait too long for parts to come in.

They said the exact same thing to me in march 2004. I ask for a oil filter for a Fiesta and he goes what engine do you have. The 1.6L or 2.0L.

lol hehehehe thats probably true..

Mind you they probably have it in there cause while the car is being "profiled" and statistic tests are being run for production and sales.....ford decided to go HEY!!!!! lets put the 2.0ltr specs in the Computer so that we dont have to do it laters.....ohh lets not tell any1 so when they go to put it in later....there will be duplicates.....DUH!!!!

or could it be that the focus (LR) 2.0 is a very close cousin of the 1.6 and can share some of the same parts????

Chris Just a kind reminder to keep it on topic please. :

But no seriously. last time i bought an oil filter for my Ex fiesta they asked me if it was for the 1.6 or the two litre.

More spinny spinny = more mud

Nah i really dont know. Same chassis and body so theres no reason why a differnt mudflap should be on the parts listing

mud flaps arent the issue...and we wherent talking about mud flaps. we where talking about the fact that Imo.... was asked if it was the 1.6 or 2.0 version.. and therefore he assumed they where talking about the XR4. there are no other 2.0 ltr production fez's are there? and the fact that mud flaps where mentioned about 4-5 times in about 20 posts.......are you that petty mitch......seems like you have something that you want to get out...maybe built up anger/rage.....

Yeah crazy isn't it. The 2.0 with bodykit cant use the mudflaps anyway. And they don't have any to fit it either I asked about it. Bloody engine size has nothing to do with it, they only sell the 1.6l over here anyway. Just goes to show how well Ford dealers really know their eurofords.

lol.. is that it.

haha your funny.....

1. no one said that putting an exhaust on your car will give you sub 8 second 0-100.

2. no one said that a new Airfilter will give you more Kilowatts.

3. 170bhp is attainable if you take what you read off pumaspeed and calculate it with some things from AUS ....

you will never know what can be done unless someone tries or does it.....

Well, going by my car (Clio) they would haved asked because it might have said;

1.4L - Mudflap available
1.6L - Mudflap available
2.0L - N/A

Same with the tow bar. You can get a Tow Bar on lesser model Clios, however on a 2.0L you aren't allowed to fit it, hence it says N/A for the 2.0L

This could also be the case with the 2.0L Fiesta ST - certain parts aren't available. Hence the reason why they ask (since it is in the system - then again they should know we don't have it here yet!)

Take what we read off pumaspeed and calculate it with some things from AUS? what on earth are you talking about?

For the people that claim 170hp can't be done on a 1.6L. Take a look at the 4G92 Mivec 131kw from a 1.6L from the factory.

Its different but it can be done.
