Any 2015 plate will come at a premium while there are still older plates on the lots.
I've got to wonder why they sent it straight back without at least offering you a negotiation. Sounds weird to me as there is a cost to them and the other dealer to ship the vehicle.
Wonder if it wasn't damaged in transit and the 200k thing is just the easiest way to explain it to you.
As far as the cooling off period goes, I would be surprised if it can explore when you haven't got the goods in front of you.
But to confirm where you stand maybe a call to consumer affairs in your state can clarify.
Google them. It's only a phone call.

Hello simon10
I can let you know that the cooling off period is not dependent of goods being available it will finish when you said, a reputable dealer should not take advantage of the 2% but should try to look after you, i actually had a situation where i recieved a vehicle inside the cooling of period and then realised that it had had the bonnet removed and resprayed i told the dealer i wad not happy and they said but you have received the goods and then i said i know the act and that i can cancel the deal and they can take the 2% but that i would rather settle this like gentlemen and that i want a new vehicle and will not accept that one and gave them the rest of the day to source it or i would invoke the cooling off clause, it took them several phone calls by them to other dealers but eventualy a new vehicle was sourced at 4.30 in the afternoon with a subject to me inspecting and being happy with it clause being added to the deal.
Hope this helps mrmavx

Yep. I had to call them today at 5pm as I hadn't heard from them (promised to call me again), the car is coming from Geelong with 12km on it. Should arrive early next week and I spoke to the sale consultant that I originally dealt with and he said the cool off period has not begun yet which is good news.

I have asked him to call me the moment he finds out the build date and Rego for insurance purposes. I told him I was very displeased with the lack of communication from his General Manager who was supposed to call me today as he said yesterday. Thanks for all the advice guys and assist.

Finally found a place that sells the weather strips for the 2 dr and the hood damper to get rid of that annoying hood holder upper thingy so finally on their way :-) it's the little things, due for dyno tues to compare between factory tune with my mods and bluefin stage 1 before I can determine if I can goto the stage 2 tune.... Exciting times :-)

Apologies for the delay in posting pics. Here it is:

Attachment 86266

Attachment 86267

Suffice to say it was worth the wait, simply awesome to drive compared to the 2009 Fiesta Zetec I had. Loving the tightness the control/handling and the instant power on tap. Now into my third day of driving yesterday I'm now hearing what I've heard others have with their ST's and it's the cluncking sound between changing gears especially from 2nd-3rd (most noticable) and from 3rd to 4th (not as loud). Also I thought the note from the exhaust would be louder in the cabin but it's not (not really bothered by this) just thought it would be going by the videos of the stock model from online videos I've watched.

I've read that it's due to the standard rear engine mount Ford have used across the Fiesta range and it's the engine moving around? The fix is the Cobb rear engine mount which fixes this issue but does introduce a slight increase in vibration at idle. Has anyone else come across this issue and if so does replacing the rear engine mount resolve it. My concern is that it will void my warranty but I will ask my dealer today as I'm dropping in to pickup my tyres/rims that are on my trade-in as I will be selling them.

But regardless of this I'm simply blown away at how good this car is in all areas. Love the Recaro seats.

Quite a few of us have replaced the REM as we did it as part of a group buy, when I pulled my old one out it has a sticker saying ST on it so not sure about it being the same, but does feel a fair bit different with the extra vibration on start, or could be lumpy cams LOL

I dropped into the local dealer after sending them an e-mail expressing my concerns. Both the Sales Consultant and Mechanic drove the car and the mechanic said there's no issue at all and being so new it needs more time running in. So will continue driving it until it has more km's and see if the sound goes away.

If you're referring to the clunking on gear changes, that won't go away. If anything it becomes more noticeable with time and mileage. It's the one noise from under the bonnet that really irks me, but apparently that's just the way the cars are...

Ok thanks. I'm not hearing any noise under the bonnet yet so that's a good thing I guess. Weather here in Melbourne has been erratic at best this week but today sunny and 25deg, so taking one of my sisters for a drive.

I just got the car back from getting paint protection and window tinting.

Not sure the photo's do it justice, but it looks like it has been dipped glass.

I also changed out the aerial to a stubby one. The original aerials look like it belongs to a bumper car. Ford should have put a shark fin aerial on ST's

Looks amazing. I just booked mine in at my local Tint a Car next Sat. Going the Octane tint. I saw on the site that they have the special with the paint protection and tint for $899. Is that where you got yours done? Where did you get the stubby aerial from?

The aerial came from the local Auto One store for about $15.00.

Diamond Paint Protection did the paint stuff using a product called Ceramic Pro from Nano Shine. It was 600 bucks. The dealer offered paint protection when I bought the car a couple of weeks ago for $2100 then dropped the price with out a breath when I said I'm getting it done for the 600. He also said he would need the car for 3 days for the application???

Diamond Paint Protection organised the tint through their guy Tint Corp using Solar Gard film which was $350.

I had Tint a Car film on the WT I just traded, and had no problems with it for the 3 years I had it, and the installation was good.

Ok thanks. I had a stubby aerial on my trade in fiesta which I removed and put the original one on and will put it on the ST today. Anyway my old fiesta 2009 had the F1 tint from Tint a Car which was great but want to go darker with the ST so going Octane, cost is $345.

Plenty of new ones on carsales.
May come down to your color choice and state.
Although the Ford network should be able to ship whatever you want between dealers.

The issue isn't really with Australia, it's with Europe taking Australia's builds. It comes down as said previously, your choices.
