Also lowers the front end for better aero (and pedestrian protection ... not that anybody cares about this).

Personally, I don't think it's too long; I think the proportions are about right.

Highly unlikely given the costs but an OLED cluster would be nicer on the eyes. Even if it's just a small one like the current one and not a full LCD TFT like Audi/VW have for their cars.

OLED is better at night when you don't want eye strain.

Thor's axe maybe?

Do we know what options are coming (not) to the aus market?

So far, though, the company has confirmed all versions headed Down Under will be made in Germany, feature autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection as standard, and offer adaptive cruise control with stop&go as an optional extra.

In terms of powertrains, Australian-bound Focuses will be offered with a pair of new-generation three-cylinder petrol engines, including an all-new 1.5-litre EcoBoost unit.

guess that puts to rest the hybrid rumour, I wonder how it sounds when it turns off one of the cylinders in the 3-cylinder ecoboost?

I'm at that point in life. Not everyone wants a SUV monster.
From cheap 67 and 74 Falcons, to '80 Honda Accord hatchback (fantastic), to 87 Telstar TX5 Ghia for kidlets (great service over 13yrs), to 03 Subaru Outback, to 2010 Mondeo XR5 for bigger kidlets ..... which is now just way to big for me and 1 occasional passenger (is a pain to park in the city). Have driven a friends Mustang V8 - nice , modern, hustles along, but not my style.
Considered the Focus RS , and almost jumped on a nice blue Focus ST, ........ but now there is a new model coming out.
No urgency to buy today and I can wait for the new model.
When do we get a new ST ?

Did you know that Focus in the USA and Europe was built with a dedicated electric motor . Here's a bit of a look at a 2012 one .

Yeah, knew about the purely electric one, would have like to have maybe seen it here but the market is just not big enough.

I'd rather a plug-in hybrid though because you still have a petrol engine for those times you want to drive further or don't have time to charge.

No rumours on Focus MkIV ST time to market?
I hope it will be a 3-pedal manual.
