One of the main reasons I went petrol. Got a better car for the same money. Also it's not that bad on fuel for the short trips.

I guess that's the beauty of the Australian car market. Plenty of choice. Some people have brand loyalty, some have budget constraints, some have specific needs a vehicle must meet, some have specific duties a vehicle must perform. Each individual can choose a vehicle to suit. It doesn't make other people's choice bad, just different.

Totally agreed Rob.

If i could sum up our experience i'd say we probably bought out Territory 5 years too late.
I say that because with our Daughter having finished touring around the country playing junior sport we wont be doing the multiple interstate trips anymore which the Diesel Terri would have been right at home doing.
W also haven't taken the van away for 12 months now as we've been spending our major holidays on cruise ships so we dont need a 2.7t towing vehicle for use once in a blue moon.

When we go camping my Father inlaw always tags along and as he sleeps in his wagon, he tows the camper trailer so that base is covered too.

The Territory was a great car, i thoroughly enjoyed driving it to Bathurst, but i couldnt justify keeping it just for that purpose each year and when i read all the costs and issues people have had with them, some of which we experienced in the short time we had ours ie. water filling the drivers footwell and the cost of additional servicing and belt replacement, i decided to cut my losses and move on.
Im sure you're in your element up there in sunny QLD with yours at the moment.
Safe travels.

No, my F250 is the only thing that can tug my 34' 5th wheel.
