I questioned the console operator at our local Servo last week as to why fuel jumped from $1.30cpl in Salisbury to $1.45 in Smithfield, a distance of 15k's.
She said it was a joke and that even the truck driver who had delivered the fuel the previous Sunday said he wouldn't pay over $1.30 for it.

She told me she had filled her car at $1.29 the night before and openly admitted she wouldn't buy fuel from her employer as they were gouging.

Who is the supplier for Costco fuel, anyone use it? Wont fill up the FG with it, just for my carby 4x4. If the fuel is slightly off my 4x4 runs like crap so need to know if it's worth it or not.

BP Fyshwick in Canberra, 98 is $1.68 today, costco $1.39

Yeah cheap fuel but you will pay high premium prices for accommodation this time of the year, you never really win.

Filled up with 98 (although, their computers still say P100 on the docket) at United today for 142.7 c/L. Last time I filled up it was 155.9 c/L for P100 on 6/12/14. - No more 100 here either unfortunately.

Still at BP it was 149.9 c/L. I imagine it would be the same (or very similar) price at Shell.

Pity about the P100 though. Comparing it to V-Power I actually got more to a tank and maybe (could of just been placebo) slightly more performance and smoother response.

Aussie dollar is also tanking at the moment.
Might see it @.79 US very soon and maybe lower.
Good for our exports.......well the little we do export anyways.
Petroleum @ $40 per barrel is where we want it.

I learnt about peak oil during an economics degree in 1990 went back in 2001 and the lecturers went on and on about peak oil and I bet there's no chance those academics would concede peak oil is another failed theory a bit like...so good to see BP Ultimate so low

Hopefully it goes down this week for you mate, it was still that price today. Maybe Canberra has finally decided to only rip us off .20 cents a litre instead of .50 cents now

Peak oil theory isn't a failed theory, it's just as time (technology) has rolled on and prices have increased the previous "unviable" oil fields are now worth drilling, eg Bakken Shales in Dakota.
So the theoretical peak keeps moving.
