Default My new intake...

Damm my car flys now with the CDA I purchased of JC.
Cold air is flowing from the just behind the grill. The new airbox is sitting in the old airbox bottom half (acting as a heat shield, kinda) the snorkel is still connected which I thinks cools the airbox. To top it of I put aluminium foil around the piping from the CDA to just before the throttle body, as I've notice it does get quite hot.

O yeah and I rip apart my year 10 sheet metal project to make a scoop, attached to the snorkel mounting holes

So Im not going to make any changes to the intake as I did before, as it is just sooo good. :SaiyanSmi

by that picture it looks like that ford snorkel going into the aribox bottom is doing nothing... is it hooked up to suck in air from that air intake or not??

The actual air intake is the hose running from the bottom of the airbox, I dont know if the snorkel is doing anything (I like to think it is cooling the airbox) lol..

that flexi pipe would be running between the lights and the radiator support just like mine is to the front grill. ive glued my pipe to the grill under the fin. directly under the ford badge on the bonnet about 100mm lower. Definately worth doin good power increase, throttle response is so sharp theres just constant air pumping in forced induction. At high speed wen u boot it you'l feel a big difference.

ive still got the factory airbox, i reckon d1xr2c cda airbox would make a bigger difference on top. my tickford snorkel is still connected as well for a secondry cai, u really do notice that those tickford snorkels do jack **** if u do this mod with the flexi pipe. Ive tested my car with one connected and the other disconnected and the difference is pretty big guys, with just the tickford snorkel on the car feels like its struggling there shocking. There'd be huge gains for people with cams and so on. But for me both are connected always.

I noticed it pick up heaps straight away when I connected the flexi hose to the front, as before it was just sucking pretty warm air in from behind the lights.

Two Joe's with ram air intake lol.....

i would get a cam before i bother about tuning, and JoseAU, this is a forum not a chat room. no need to post multiple times just minutes apart. say what you have to say all in one post.

Good to see it's gone to a new home where it's fully appreciated (and at a cheap price too!).

Thanx joe, ill,be off to supercheap today. Did u have to bend the brackets to get it in. After driving round with the holes in the airbox all i think is done is made a louder induction noise that sounds dumb, i will be blocking up the holes and running the flexi hose through.Haha this is all character building, and ive got shedloads of character :Reverend:
