Where would i find my engine number on an EF XR6 motor? i need it for insurance, but i just cant find where it is.

sorry but i dont really know much about engines and stuff, but wheres the power steering pump? is it near where you put the power steering liquid?lol i'm a total retard when it comes to that stuff.

Yep, that's the p/steer pump. It's an absolute ***** to see with the pump still in place from memory. You might be able to spot it with a mirror or something.

your engine number is where the block connect with your transmission at the back of the block...loook under ur header/extractors you'll see it...might need a torch though...

no not really just get a torch and ull see it when u look into it from under ur bonnet...the engine number r facing up towards u on a flat part of the block...

sorry to resurrect an old thread, but would this be the engine number, i found it behind powersteering under spark plug...its not on any plate but stamped on the block itself
