Default Traction bars HELP

Im trying to set up traction bars on my F250 and am having trouble getting the geometry rite. With it sitting on flat concrete I 'mark' the front mounting hole (its already attached to the diff) then I jack the tray up(wheels still on the ground) about 50 to 100mm then get back under and check the 'mark' and it is always out, bout half a hole.

I have tried measuring from centre of diff to centre of bracket on diff and transfer that measurement to the front mounting template and marked the hole that fardown from the bottom of the chassis. Hope that made sense???

My issue is I still want to use the ute and have wheel travel, and they seem to be doing it in the US with no problems. Thought Id try here first then I will start hitting the US for info.
Any Help will be greatly appreceited

Might help if you mention what traction bars you are using, old style tramp rods?
Caltracs?, slid-a-links ? etc

Not sure on the name, but they are straight heavywalled 25mmID pipe with a 3/4 ball joint each end. They are about 6 foot long. (going on a dual cab F250)

Sounds like a radius rod. You may find that the diff is rolling forward/backwards thus throwing the hole out. This is also a bonus of a radius rod setup as it stops the pinion angle changing as the diff moves up and down. When I lifted my new Colarado it has thrown the pinion angle out. Now it hums at low speed.
